King Aragorn, thank you very much, I'm glad you liked both the mech and the scene. Missing brick, your welcome and thanks for the praise!

done! http://farm8.staticf..._19ed7cc6a2.jpg

Thanks, genecyst! The mech itself was an interesting build...went way outside my comfort zone when I built the body. I don't normally do a scene or diorama, but I thought I'd give it a try.

Hello all, I've had this beasty together for a while, but kept it under wraps until Brickworld Chicago, where it was nominated for best mecha! I finally got around to taking pictures of it. The shots were taken with the newly finished heavy mech bay portion of my Mech Facility. Hope you like it! -Jon P.S. NGH = Neon Green Horror

More pictures will be posted as work progresses. This project is the third mech facility I've built, or in this case, am building. It is also the largest and most complex building I have worked on. Did I mention there will be three types of lighting when it's all said and done? Regardless, I'm glad you like it!

Yes, there is Devorath. The problem with working in the Battletech universe, is that there are so many canon mechs and vehicles that you have to get creative with naming. If I draw a blank on a name , then I head to wikipedia After I built this design, it made me think of any number of flightless birds. I found the Takahē , looked at the picture of the bird. I decided it was a good fit. I hope you liked the design. You really didn't say whether or not you did.

Thanks for the praise, Tenor Penny. Thanks, Rook! Only sinner, I actually run Battletech with the mechs I build. I use Heavy Metal Pro to create the record sheets you use to play the game. The stats you see are an abbreviated version of the technical readout that HMP can generate. I'm glad you liked the design !

kbcakir, I would love to have a star of these little beasties. Definitely would be a scout group I wouldn't want to face. Gerkenz, I picked those colors precisely for that reason. Drakinova, I tried to give it an aggressive look.

This frame work for the torso is sheer genius. you've given me insight into a new way to build a mech. Most impressive! I have been able to skin the legs and arms of my mechs, but have previously had limited success with the torsos. This method will allow me to make the torso lighter and able to take battle damage without destroying the entire structure. again, excellent work!

Thanks, glad you liked it! I could say the same for you as far as Brickworld went. The one time I did see you at your table your were talking to someone. Next year just make it a point to interrupt me and say hello. I promise I won't take offense. :) I do tend to stick with my display most of the time.

Thanks, Mark! I'm glad you liked it, and there are plenty more where this one came from!

Thanks , brother! I use these as miniatures as well. It's always fun to do the battle damage after a nasty round of combat. Linky to my bricktech (Battletech with Lego) sets on flickr. http://www.flickr.com/photos/12318190@N08/collections/72157604621486882/
