The only parts I like about this set are the head pieces.

Guess those pom poms really don't cushion your fall :P Am I the only one suspicious of the guy in the black outfit and cap? xD

I don't have much space or any large baseplates to spare so I just took some random black bricks I found to attach the minifig stands together. So I just noticed they removed the listing for the minifigs all together. How long was series 1 supposed to run for? Or did they crank out a fixed amount and just unlist it after they sold it all?

I guess stand alone the prison tower isn't all that great but I'm hoping it will fit in with some of the future sets. I mean there's a pretty good chance they'll give us a dragon knight fortress sooner or later :P

I haven't contemplated building a navy, but I do imagine that the lion navy would be more smaller scale ships with more soldiers, whereas the dragon knight navy would have larger ones chocked full of cannons and be siege type ships. I personally am a bigger fan of building sets.

I was originally contemplating purchasing this pack but after your review I think I'll either wait for the next wave of sets to get more figs or buy them separately. The quality issue isn't suprising since I've heard from friends about the generally lower quality of minifig sets. I've had a lot of beef with castle sets every since they transitioned from the hard ABS swords to the soft ones. It was made worse when I got a minifig with such tight clutch that the sword handle has plastic coming off :\

I noticed that they changed the visor slightly for the golden knight in the 7079 Drawbridge Defense set. Kinda like the new design :P I would like to see any new colour for the visor that doesn't "fade".

I've been scouting out a few TRUs and from past experience they don't stock much LEGO sets in my area. The other lego fans got to those crash test dummys before me >< Either that or someone bought out all their stock.

I've been stocking up on this set and the prison carriage for the minfigs. I like how each of the new castle torsos has a back decal. My only beef is that the dragon soldier torso back decal doesn't seem to match the front decal. The lion soldier decals are fine, and mine are a solid white. Guess they fixed the paint issue for my shipment :P

I personally have had no luck with any retail stores stocking them, although I've been told that Toys R Us has stocked a few times. I've resorted to using collectibles sites like bigbadtoystore or just using bricklink. Maybe its just me but the minifigures from the series feel "softer" or more "flexible" than regular minifigs. The legs in particular; I notice that the legs actually wiggle near the waist whereas the regular minifigs are stiff. The legs also have a small rectangular indent at the top. Perhaps its done intentionally for easier posing?
