As Kim said! This was a bonus. It did not came in the set 8017. It came in a polybag on the side. It was in my local toystore. No big chain of stores (we got TRU here as well). But you guys in the states might check it out, it can be so that they will have it. Call LEGO in your country to find out. Random stores got this promotional item. Look at the first post by Kim and see the polybag it came in. This is a 10 years anniversary thing, so there fore I think there will really be many made of this. Comparision pic: Note that the Vader in the set of 8017 is the same as the Vader in the DS (10188)! Hope this clarify stuff. -Ras-

Don´t be so negative yet my friend.I guess they just spinned a globe and pointed After pointing to water 2 times, and thinking of redoing it when they hit Sweden for the release, they decided to go so anyway for a pre-release. I´m sure it will hit many other countrys as well. So hang in there guys and gals!! -Ras-

Thanks for the heads-up on fingerprints , saw it myself when I was re-sizing pics, but didn´t whipe them of.Wanted to post for you guys ASAP... I live in Sweden, I work all day, there is no daylight when I come home... I know it isn´t the best quality, but I´ve seen my fair share of bad pics, and those are not even close to those. But if you like, I can take a better one this weekend. Here is a comparison between the older one (in new grey) from 7262 and the 8017 in viseversa order: -Ras-

It came on the side. Not in box! It is a special edition. Will probably more then the chrome C3-PO´s. But as I said, run to your local stores, call the once that is to far. Try everything you can. They are out there. I mean if we in puny Sweden got 1000, how many more is there out there?? -Ras-

This is actually my first review (and I´m an admin...) so go gentle. The big surprice you can find on the front page. I was told that Sweden got around 1000 of these, so check out your local stores!! To the set then. Set Name: Darth Vader ´s TIE Fighter Set Number: 8017 Price: Probably $29.99 US Pieces: 251 Minifigures: 1 Stickers: 1 sheet The instruction book Stickers, only 4 small once. Not to bad... Nice wraped mantel, in a flat package. Really nice 3 polybags Then on to the building... Pretty fast ran on to this piece. Saw that it was inventored to BL, but not in a known set yet. I know one -"What the..." Can probably come in hand. More colours TLC!! So the build went on... Shooting things. Work scaringly good... or not. Stop putting those in every set. How about "real" lazer?? And then the ship was done! Front: Side: And finally the behind... sorry, rear... what ever... -"Thanks for building my new ship, Plain Vader" -"WHAT?!" -"Why did you get such a fancy dress?" -"Stop whining. You sound like a guy I know in Chicago!!" It was a nice build. Looks so much better then the old versions that we got a ton of by now. Was at my local toyshop today. Me and CM pre-ordered the 8017 Darth Vader's TIE Fighter. It came already on Saturday, but I couldn't go get it because I spent the weekend in Bonn (Germany) Guess if the surprise was BIG when I found out that you get an extra Darth Vader. Really a nice review We have been told that this set will be released on the 1, or 5 of december in Sweden. Anyone else got any info of this set when to be released in your countrys? ´Cause it really can´t be that "we" will be first to get a set in the world. That has never happend before... -Ras-

A really nice moc It is ment to be a UCS model, right? I like the colour sheeme you used. I never liked the sandred one used in 4501. Likes the 7110 so much better. A bit dusty, very much like the real model and accurate detail as it has really been on Tatooine -Ras-

Nice microset. To many colours to look really good. Maybe it could be done all in DB grey or something to get a more monocrome feeling. Think I would like that The bow looks very nice -Ras-
