  1. Saw that model, it's a RA-7 thou not a 3PO model. The head and body are completely different, theses are the "insectoid" protocol droid. Another good possibility but... the M-3PO units have a different head unit.
  2. Quick question regarding the black protocol droid from 10188, does it have a designation other than "protocol droid"?
  3. Here's another one: Untitled by Kyphur_Trains, on Flickr
  4. On bricklink you can create a wanted list and then search for EVERYTHING On the wanted list! Try it, helps a lot...
  5. Thanks for the positive feedback guys. I've got a few more ideas, just waiting on some Droids and other figures & accessories to arrive. I used an iPhone app called halftone for the effects if anyone else wants to duplicate them...
  6. I'm down to my last Small Hulk Fig: Still sealed. Here are the SW MiniFigs I want: Dengar (10221) Astromechs: R2-R7, R5-D4, R5-F7 Emperor (gray head) Jabba the Hut (new) Either PM me or post here and let's see if we can trade...
  7. Thanks, I almost posted these in that thread but after looking at it I think since these are stylized and the other thread is all Clone O'Patera's work a new thread was justified. Of course if the Mods feel oerwise then I'm okay with that...
  8. Just having fun with my Star Wars MiniFigs... Untitled by Kyphur_Trains, on Flickr Untitled by Kyphur_Trains, on Flickr Edited for Effect by Kyphur_Trains, on Flickr Untitled by Kyphur_Trains, on Flickr Untitled by Kyphur_Trains, on Flickr Untitled by Kyphur_Trains, on Flickr
  9. Are you saying you think Modular Houses are the money mill for TLG or just that thier success is an indicator of TLG's success? I would love to think that Trains is large enough market for TLG to put more into it but I think several good examples have been lsted here as to why we are luck to get what we want. It's long been know that the Star Wars license is the cash cow that saved TLG and proved licensing can be profitable and look hw long it's taken just to get a TaunTaun for them! Unless Trains becomes a top seller I doubt we'll see a lt of our wants direct from TLG.
  10. Yes you can.
  11. How about neither? Have you seen this: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=56952 It's a brick-built monorail system. I'd imagine you could engineer slopes also, maybe using 1x2 tiles with grill for traction...
  12. Any update on being able to mate with TLG Flex-Track? FWIW, I support the previously mentioned request for dk gray plastic rails.
  13. Those look nice.
  14. The brown 1x1 Round Bricks are dirt that is removed in the mining process. As a fan of the new Mining sub-theme I have to agree that this is a nice little addition to the series.
  15. Eric, please don't think I'm trying to dog-pile you or anything. I certianly can understand the issues you've mentioned and to be honest a quality product is worth the wait. The big problem here has been the silence, it's deafening. If you had removed the track listing from your store and provided some information about all of this then at least we'd know that something is happening.
  16. For the same reason I sold off all of my 9V track, I prefer uniformity.... I can stand mixing during the transitional phase but there is no way I'd plan to leave 3 distinct types of track on my layout without a plan to eventually have ALL of my track uniform. The ME-Models track is very close to TLG's but BBB Track design doesn't look close. To be honest, I prefer jthe BBB design and hope he is able to bring it to fruition as I'd become a good customer of his system. Adopting BBB Track would mean my 90 degree crossings and double crossovers would be designed out of y layout unless he has solutions for these but I can live with that compromise. I do hope the curve pieces can be used in place of flex track to create custom curves.
  17. As much as I both agree with you and want a better track system for when my layout can return I simply can't get over the feeling of being burned by the ME-Models Rail situation. Currently I have TLG Track (lots & lots) & ME-Models Track (just a small bit) so if I buy some BBB Track and hey falter also then what am I left with? As it is I can't seem to sell of the ME-Models stuff that I have so it will just sit and do nothing forever. At least I can use it in tunnels and other concealed places if push comes to shove I guess. Don't misunderstand me, if BBB Track system makes it to 12 months and actually delivers on promised components (switches, curves, etc) then I'll probably buy a massive box of it and put TLG track in boxes but I think I learned my lesson with ME-Models. I do hope BBB Track has curve parts to match TLG's awfully tight curves. It would serve 2 purposes: 1. Ease the transition by not forcing us to redesign our layouts all at once. 2. Be another curve radius that we can mix & match to make custom fits in the absence of flex track.
  18. Still no news? I hate to be cynical but this really isn't a surprise, is it? On thier website the newest update is May 10, 2012. Honestly I hope BBB's ideas come to fruition, I'd surely buy some but it would take a lot for me to convert all of my track. Sadly, based on my previous disappointment with ME rails I doubt I'll be an early adopter of any new track system. I need to see that production will continue, especially for a system that is this different.
  19. I have a couple of spare MF Ghost Polybags. The City Miners Dozer poly is avalable at my local target by the check-outs...
  20. Personally I think ME Models gave up a while ago... I have a little bit of ME track but doubt I'll ever use it as they've basically never bothered to make more available. My needs will never be for running a 9v loop so I could live with plastic curves, switches etc. I wish ME's track worked with Flex-Track and was still being made but at this point I kind of feel like I've already invested too much in plastic track to replace it all with any other solution. Here is my current Track Inventory: ============================= 1,444 - Flex Track 7 - Double Crossover 202 - Straight 191 - Curve 2 - 90 Degree Crossing, 9v 13 - Switch, Left 13 - Switch, Right If the BB Solution doesn't work WITH Lego plastic track there is no way I could buy it unless they are making Flex, Switches, Double Crossovers and 90 Degree Crossings and then only if the price is right and I can be assured that they'll still be selling the track 5 years from now.
