  1. I really liked the Racers sets that were released around 2002-2004. It was nice when they still included minifigures.
  2. Shape wise, you nailed it well, tbh it could do with more tan and those blue light thingies on the underside: However, I don't build MOCs so you don't have to take my word for it Overall, I really like how elaborate and detailed looking it is.
  3. SWAT Van - Includes 5 heavily-armed SWAT minifigures and bomb defusal drone! Combine with Bank Robbery for hostage rescuing fun!
  4. They'd probably charge $40USD for something like this, and give it a more kid-friendly colour scheme, like blue or yellow.
  5. I ended up picking up 5974, mainly because at some unknown point I made a resolute pact to myself that I'd find it at a clearance price. And I did, got it for $67 at Big W :D The 5985 on the other hand - I just remember someone mentioning that it was going for that price at Big W in the Aussie sales thread (though this was about a week ago). I never actually saw it anywhere for that price, was just going on an assumption.
  6. What state are you in? I was at Myer Eastland (Ringwood) last Saturday and they had a fair number left, about 6+. They didn't seem to go out the door as fast as say, Emerald Night, which I didn't see any of.
  7. Compared to the pricing we get in Australia, you have it considerably better. For example, Luke's Landspeeder is $50AUD and that's for a palty 163 pieces. Luckily I generally don't follow LSW, that pricing is beyond any reason.
  8. I'm assuming you're not in Melbourne?
  9. SPACE POLICE III: RISE OF BLACKTRON. Hmm, too long for a theme name.
  10. Sorry mate, I'm not having any more luck than you are. I rang Big W Waverley Gardens; nothing on the clearance sales. I also asked them if they had 5974 (Galactic Enforcer) and they told me it was discontinued. From what I've heard Big W sold it for $117, so you might have to settle for that if you're still after it.(IF you can find one).
  11. I'm starting to think all these clearance sales people are coming across are only applicable in WA and Queensland (actually, everywhere else except Victoria), because I've had zero luck here in Melbourne.
  12. I visited Big W Forest Hill (Melbourne) today - they didn't even have any SP3 sets left :( Wasn't able to check if anything else was going for clearance.

  14. Great finds, I am very envious that you got a Galactic Enforcer for so cheap!
  15. You'll be shocked to discover that Lego have been selling their sets around the world for over 30 years or so!
  16. I went to Big W Eastland yesterday and they had the Police Headquarters for $87.88 ($139.99RRP), which had a big tag indicating an "everyday low price". From personal experience, the sets that don't receive such big discounts are usually sold for (at least) a few dollars less than the RRP. The catalogue for the toy sale actually came out online a few days ago, and had the Landspeeder advertised for about $34.
  17. No, that's probably because that's the discount you're getting off the regular price. Places like Big W generally sell their stuff considerably lower than the RRP.
  18. So, I'm thinking about getting either of the following 4 sets: - 7744 Police Headquarters ($87.88 AUD) - 7208 Big City Fire Station ($99 AUD) - 5985 Space Police Central ($88) - 5974 Galactic Enforcer (not too certain on the price, hoping its around $80-$100AUD, probably going to drop it if it's significantly more than that) Recommendations would be appreciated, cheers
  19. Hey, I remember getting that back in 1999! Funnily enough, the stickers on my window piece are all perfectly intact - the actual set itself is a different story As I was fairly young back then and didn't take as much care of them, pretty much all of my sets pre-2003 have been "assimilated" - basically when I stopped playing with them they were disintegrated within my large boxes of unorganised Lego. My brother already had one of those boxes of assorted pieces, but the earliest set I can remember getting is this: Sadly the minifigure and that cool looking helmet was lost long ago . I have no idea what happened to it.
  20. Definitely a legit design, as evidenced by this picture (made by this guy):
  21. Might want to take a look at Knox City as well, not too far away from Eastland.
  22. How'd you pull off the custom decals like that?
