You are indeed correct - it's more interesting than blank white wall faces! Here are some pictures to show the concept better:

The scenes such as the last supper, etc, are all built into the other sides of the MoC. Thanks!

It took me long enough to get my hands on a roman, I almost gave up any hope of ever finding a sleeping kid - luckily I got them both at the same time.

(Hopefully this fits in the historic forum, as, regardless of your religious views, it takes place in a historical setting) This year I decided to challenge myself to make an Easter Garden out of Lego. As I built it, it became a series of Easter tableaus, showing different parts of the story (with slight adjustments made for each day): The last supper. Herod. Pilate. Judas betraying Jesus. The Crucifixion The... Saturday in which nothing much happens, I suppose. The Resurrection Wideshot. Full album, if anyone wants to see more. Thanks for looking

I'm only really showing off the time machine, not the rest of the build. The scientist himself is probably the upside down one, but given the angle it can be a tad hard to tell.

This is a small detail from a larger MOC of a medieval city - I'm waiting till I get some video footage to show that. That said, I felt like experimenting with a little steampunk, and added a crashing time machine in, making use of a few more unusual pieces: Feedback is welcome

All the other comments are terribly accurate, but the flag is also brilliant. It's custom yes? If so, how did you make it?

Are these in shops in the UK yet? Cause they aren't on S@H when they are for the rest of the world... If they are in shops, what are prices?

Well done. [MoC Builder's name] must be the pride of [MoC builder's hometown].

Of course, in really ordinary medieval times, one wouldn't really see ANY soldiers... Love the building, though, and nice touches on the minifigures, giving the old black falcons (who I tend to use as torsos for falconers and people running the mews) lovely new dark pearl armour.
-
One prison tower rescue, one prison carriage, one elf, and golden staff guardians. Bought a couple of minifigures 'blind' without feeling the packets and got the alien, the pilot, and the baseball player, too.

Am I the only one who's noticed new shutters in the windows of the barn?

So... Did she weight the same as a duck? Great use of faces and nice MoC.

My thoughts on the evolution of LEGO Castle
Bingo Little replied to Hive's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Interesting thoughts. I mainly disagree on some of the shields. The Royal Knight's shield always looked good to me - what is it about it you dislike? Big lion, crown, looks pretty good to me. I also quite liked the Fright Knights shield, though maybe because I only ever had one of it, so it was always somewhat rare. Still, it looks pleasantly evil to me, and while the winged helmet's kind of useless for actual combat, I find it good for suits of armour. Plus it fits a dragon faction well as well. As for Knight's Kingdom I, I agree that the royal shield was a bit dull, but the bull's! I think it might be one of my favourite lego shields (along with the kingdoms lion shield, I'm a sucked for kite shapes), because it feels more organic and real with the nails around the edge. I've used it for saxons before and it works great. -
Damnit, wrong Tom. I've no idea where 'Sellick' came from.
-
You're sort of wrong :P we've had anne hathaway confirmed as catwoman, and tom sellick as bane. The other two were rumours that (sadly, in the case of Tennant) never materialised.

It looks awesome - great uneven roofing on the house, for example. Poor Hans. So young, and already he has chest hair

I don't know what everyone else is complaining about - I had no problems at all with my battlepack figures.

This is AWESOME - could we maybe have a youtube video of the telephone box going down? -
I loved this set. I find that with the right armour underneath, the shogun's armour can make okay medieval european armour too - always useful. It's jogged my memory about that blue armour on the left, though. I should really try and find that, as it looks pretty useful.

Quick question: did Bluewater have Pharoah's quest in? Thinking of popping there soon. -
MOC: Something for Christmas...
Bingo Little replied to Bingo Little's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Thanks :) I edited it into the header, but it's probably better to post here: could a mod please edit the title so it has MOC in it? -
So I've spent a while on this, and while the photos sadly aren't top quality, it was all I could do to get it photographed by Christmas. Here are a few choice shots: Wide Shot Angels and shepherds A hint of a wider story... No room at the inn... Just the figures Full photos at flickr EDIT: To any mods who find this, could you please put MOC in the title somewhere?
