Heroica RPG - Quest#15: Hoisting Down the Jolly Roger
The_Customizer replied to Sandy's topic in The Heroica Archive
Maurice, I would have to agree with you about returning the Stolen Wares. It would definitely make them happy. All in all, I would had loved to level up a bit, but this is fine for right now. -
Not too long ago, GI brick (Brickarms Reseller) sent me a Friends minifigure, and challenged me to customize it, which I did. It took me a while to think of how to customize one of these things, but in the end, I think it turned out pretty nice! (Especially since I only had Sharpie Paint pens :/) C&C is definitely welcome! Heroica RPG - Quest#15: Hoisting Down the Jolly Roger

Maurice, I know what you mean, however, it is simply our job to do what our employer asked of us, he told us to end Jolly Roger's rule of piracy, and by not killing reno, but just transporting him to Nemo as if we found him captured, we are still doing what he asked of us. And we are also honoring Reno's opinions. -

Ok, let's bring it down to this, our job was to end Jolly Roger's (Reno) piracy. We were not told to kill him. Therefore, by simply bringing him back to Nemo, we save his life, and do our job. Also, we were instructed that if we could find Reno, and brought him back, we would receive extra pay from Nemo, and not to mention the extra 1200 from Reno, all of that on top of the money we would receive for completing the task, and who knows, maybe Scheherazade will have an extra 'something' for bringing back her son alive and well. Overall, I would say bringing Reno back alive is the best bet, as we would be paid much more, and still complete the task we were given. -

I agree, however, if it is true that Nemo has been enforcing these mad taxes, simply for the profit of others, and destroying all other competition, he doesn't deserve the title of admiral. On the other hand, how would Reno be able to stop him? Obviously if he keeps trying, in ways other than piracy it most likely won't work. Plus, he said he wouldn't use the Ji Pei technlolology, or whatever that stuff is. I say we capture Reno, return to Heroica, and do as he said, say Jolly Roger is dead, and bring some unknown pirate with us that may be "Jolly Roger" as Nemo has no idea what he looks like, and then just say we also found Reno. We will get 1200 gold from Reno, and I think it was 1200 gold from Nemo as well. After those two are together, we book it out of there, before anyone has a chance to do something to us. -

I say we go and remove Reno from this world if need be. If not, at least we can capture him, and capturing whoever he is talking to will be important as well. Anyone have some spare meads or anything that I could use? -
OH MY GOSH. This is simply amazing! You truly captured the feel presented in the movie, overall a GREAT job! The only one small problem I have with it, is it seems to crowded with plant life. Maybe if there was fewer trees, and more grass, it might look better, but other than that, it is simply amazing!

Indeed, never thought about that until now, perhaps the door is even unlocked now. Though I really can't say for sure. -

You are one to talk, Erdathcath is 197 years old, and she read it perfectly fine. Anyway what Sham said perfectly confirms that Reno is Jolly Roger, and as no one would suspect that, they used 'Reno' as the password for that door. After all, who would think that 1. Jolly Roger is really Reno. 2. Jolly Roger (Reno) is related to the Bonapartes, and 3. That umm, we are going to have to bring him back to Mr. Nemo, who will probably be not too happy. This whole thing looks like it will be wrapped up pretty soon! -

True, perhaps some more exploration will reveal the code. Also, thinking back to what happened when I mentioned to Mr. Nemo (the one who sent us here) that Reno may have joined the pirates, let us hope for Reno's, and Mr. Nemo's sake that he is not Jolly Roger himself. However, it is very possible. "Sham, by any chance, do you remember why Reno was coming here? Did he mention it? And do you remember who put you in here? Perhaps these questions may help us know what we need to find out." -

Hmm, sounds like my original idea was correct... Anyway, we might as well try out "Reno" as the password. I have no idea what else it may be. -

I agree, we should tell him we know his mother, and perhaps his prices will be lowered. Also, we kinda need to continue on the quest. -

Well, this Handcannon will be quite a help in this battle, and any others we face! I am quite glad we defeated those pirate fiends! -

Thank you!

Thanks! Yeah, unfortunately I don't have a lot of "smoke-like" pieces, and there aren't a whole lot of places for smoke on here, as the machine is moved by the animal, and the Steam simply powers the weapons, and other such things.

The year is 1000 AD, mechanics are slowly discovering how to use steam to power their engines and weapons for a stronger power than the rest of the world. What better way to move these crazy contraptions around, other than on a dinosaur? So, the work began. At first they were unsure they could even discover a way to bring one back to life, yet after 10 years of intense studies and long dedicated hours they were finally able to bring to life a Triceratops. This was the first step towards a new military that would soon dominate the world. Without further ado, the pictures! :D Steampunk Triceratank (1) by The_Shy_One©, on Flickr Steampunk Triceratank (2) by The_Shy_One©, on Flickr Steampunk Triceratank (3) by The_Shy_One©, on Flickr Steampunk Triceratank (4) by The_Shy_One©, on Flickr Steampunk Triceratank (5) by The_Shy_One©, on Flickr List of Brickarms used: 2 Bronze Miniguns 2 Gunmetal Miniguns 2 Rusty Cimmerian Pickaxes 2 Golden Gunblades 1 Swirled Brown and Black Flintlock pistol And for those who like to know the little details and such, I scrapped and rebuilt this thing about 5 times to bring you the best i can. :D Enjoy! I am not sure if this is the right forum for Steampunk, so if the mods need to move it to the right forum, that is perfect, thanks!

Yeah, we should remove the Pirate Cannoneer from the picture. Otherwise we won't last long against the cannon. I shall attack the Pirate Seamage from the Back row. -

Agreed, we can always find more stuff in nearby chests, can we possibly sneak up to it and open it before attacking the pirates? -

Yeah,, they are kinda expensive though. Good point, but I didn't have a bunch of different insurgent torso designs. Yeah, I updated the heads with better ones.
