Favorites up to now are Quirrell, Nick, Dumbledore (CMF), Trewlaney and Credence. More interestingly, what are the worst minifigs from this wave? Ron and Hermione (CMF) - Doesn't work for me. They are not recognizable. Luna looks quite bad as well, they totally missed her cuteness. McGonnagal with her shitty old-fashioned hat.

Me and my gf finished the set yesterday. We both enjoyed the build and the result. The minifigure selection is great, I especially like Nick and Quirrell. I am thinking about modding the set just a bit, I want to add around 2 bricks of height on the hall, and I'd like to try and make the tower thinner for the largest part, and as wide as it for the top, maybe 2 bricks higher as well.

Found a fresh box of minifigs yesterday, most of them were easy to find, got 11. Graves was easier than expected. Today I went to another shop and someone was there searching, someone beat us to it, Graves was gone. Managed to get 9 more, so I'm still missing 2; Newt for some reason, and Pyjama Harry, which is quite hard to locate with his cloak. So far I'm quite impressed with this series.

I need those minifigures! Any predictions of the value of those four in the aftermarket?

Most are superb in my opinion, especially Dumbledore, Trelawney and Neville. Dobby's face looks a bit weird, but has the T.R. diary, which is great. Hermione, Ron and Luna, mainly the faces are not that good and not easily recognizable. The owl-mold looks a bit outdated, considering its size. Last but certainly not least, the FB figures are great. Love everything about them, especially all the baked goods!

Made the same purchase! The Statue of Liberty is one of my new favorites. Haven't build 40291 yet, and will keep it sealed for a while, but I was pleasantly surprised by the large size of the box. It agree that it's one of the best give-aways I've got from LEGO.

Yes they have the same scared alternate faces as in the Hogwarts Express set. I agree that it's the least attractive set, but I might buy it and keep it sealed because the artwork is beautiful.

That's what I did, bought all the Dimensions HP and FB, and I'm going to give the figs the spare new wands we'll get. The old wand will look outdated and clumsy when displayed alongside the new ones.

You are right. The outfits in the Hogwarts Express are not accurate for that scene. Only Hermione's sweater is right. The outfits match the scene with Aragog. So looks like they're are either reusing the minifigs from the Aragog set, they are identical, or they decided to drop the Aragog-set and used the minifigs anyway. I guess the first option. edit:

So we have two Snapes, which are identical? And are the Aragog and Hogwarts Express Ron and Harry the same? Lupin looks very good.

Maybe we should request from LEGO an AFOL-mod pack, with the dress-piece and the bun.

Dumbledore and McGonagall are the worst two we've seen so far, in my opinion. They just look too 'sporty' with their pants. Dumbledore's beard is hard, the correct color would be somewhere between the grey they chose now, and white. So I guess the one they chose is fine. McGonagall definitely needed a new hat, and we need a new hat in general. I HATE the one that is still in use, it looks so weird. New hat with hair or just the bun would've been great.

I hope the car looks better from other angles, the roof with the 1x6 tiles looks quite ugly and might need some modding. But overall it is a nice design. Stoked to hear more.

Seems nonsense to me. It will spoil the fun for people wanting to collect all minifigs, at least mine.
