i want to get at the base of everything : - u want money , $$$ ? fine , everyone wants smaug for they're collection ... but not the way it looks right now , as it is , ppl are better off buying the dragon from an action figure company look i have the fix , it easy , follow it and it will turn out great , turst me on this problems : it has - big legs , - big body - small wings the fix : * 1. use the correct proportions : it's a big mold , and it's not restrained by the small minifig size , just use the correct proportions of the dragon , look at the movie scenes * 2. change the damn color , it 's too bright red , it looks like a lollipop EDIT : forgot to comment on posing - it cannot be posed in flight because the legs don't move , and honestly i don't think something with so big a butt and legs can fly with those small wings - it has 3 points of articulation , i mean u can do so much more , it doesn't have to be a caricature of the model , if it had articulations it could be posed as sleeping and with extra pieces could be buried in gold , as he is presented at the end of "the hobbit 1" movie

i saw the set and ... a part of me died ... ever since i saw the video game and the bright red lollipop looking thing they named smaug the first thing i did was send an e-mail to lego to change the color , even posted on this topic i think , it's a big fail .... the wings are small ...

i like the minifig printing better this way , for some reason i cannot stand the cartoonish look of the whole " the clone wars " animated look

still Lotr has had the " gondor " action sequence completely overlooked , so it might just be released but maybe in 1-2 years , after the current lotr & hobbit sets disappear , and still ... we haven't got a sauron minifigure

so what minifigs are we getting witch-king set : galadriel + witch king lonely mountain : being an interior playset i doubt we will get anything new lake town take down ( a bit of poetry ) : i'm guessing Bolg will be in this set or Dain , probably a laketown soldier battle of the five armies : 1 elf ( armor ? ) , 1 orc ( armor ? ) , 1 dwarf ( armor ? ) , 1 eagle , 1 bat , Bold or Dain , and hopefully Beorn in bear form ( but not the standard city bear ) what i would prefer to get is : - elf swords - elf's in battle armor - dwarfs in battle armor ( although , the beard doesn't allow for armor so it might just be only the helmet ) - man of dale - orcs in armor ? - elven shields ( not the oval one re-printed but a new form )

the only thing good about fake legos is that they are cheap , so if u build a model and decide to leave it that way for a looong time then yes u can use these fake cheap legos BUT if u plan on de-constructing - re-constructing DO NOT try fake lego's they are hard to work with construct / de-construct hard i use fake legos for building a " brick build " ship and i plan to leave it like that for the rest of my life so yeah it's worth it they are cheap

the sets look good , i plan on buying them , the turtle lair is very "authentic" mostly because it has a big fan in the middle

impressive build , the inside is also nice

ask for it back , tough he probably sold it on e-bay long ago , and if not get his lego and give him a beer when u go out

my lego room is locked up , nothing happened to me up until now but i don't want to find out i'm missing minifigs from my collection because someone decided to take a souvenir

personally releasing a second wave of TNMT from my pov seemed to be a bold move for lego ,even more so a third wave movie themed sets : if i can find the sets at decent prices i will buy the movie ones , but to me it seemed odd to make the turtle van bigger then the "big rig" , and i will probably sell it second wave : from the second wave i plan to buy the turtle sub for leatherhead ... for some reason he grew on me , tough i wish they did more articulations on it , the way it's looking on the box he's swimming with his head down and tail up , very odd the movie : i think it will turn out great , if it gets a good profit we're probably gonna be looking at a second part with krang as main villain , and third part with "baxter " as villain first wave : i really liked how baxter's robot turned out , and also the shellraiser with the only negative comment beeing that it should have been smaller , similar to the size of a train car future improvements : it would be interesting to see weapons being able to be added on turtle shells tough , i don't see how it will work without adding a clip on a shell thus making it look odd

good work keeping it together , i plan to make a transformer but i doubt it will be so fluid in transformation

Hobbit - witch-king set * my suggestion - make the twilight ringwraith full glow in the dark NOT only the head , or maybe a transparent white would also work Hobbit - lake town * my suggestion - maybe instead of dain ironfoot u could put the " bolg " minifigure Hobbit - battle of the five army's * my suggestion - include a bear form ( Beorn ) , lego never made a lego druid so ... start now Hobbit - lonely mountain * my suggestion - as someone who is keeping sets in display i would preffer a brick -built Smaug , but if it does end up a mold , then could it have some articulation so it can be used as both ground stance and flying stance

Small orc boat and ruins. – $40.00 * my suggestion - gondor knight ( with shield pls ) and ranger ( with second face half covered like in the movie ) minifigs are a must Witch King Showdown – Includes the Witch King, Theoden, a Rider of Rohan (Eowyn), a white horse, and a Nazgul. Also includes a Fellbeast and small grassy area. – $60.00 * my suggestion - Eowyin has a different helm then the standard rohan soldier , and the fellbeast ( for me as a person who keeps the sets on display i would preffer a brick-built version rather then a big mold ) The Battle of Minas Tirith – Includes Gandalf, 2 Gondor Knights, maybe 4 Orcs, a troll, and possibly Pippen. Set has 1 large gate at ground level, 2 smaller levels with a small house and the citadel. Also includes an orc catapult outside the city. – $120.00 * my suggestion - instead of 4 orcs , maybe 1 of them could be a gondor keep guard ( the ones that protect the white tree ) , and instead of "a catapult " make " Grond " the battering ram in the shape of a wolf's head , and the troll ( armored version )

the only thing i can complain about this set is the azog minifigure , the head is too far away from the shoulders and it just gives it an odd look , regarding the rest of the set it's up to TLG standards so i bought it

minas morgul with green light bricks to give it the "undead light" glow to the white architecture

i would part with my money for some jedi minifigs : * Aayla Secura ( non-cartoon ) * Shaak Ti ( non-cartoon ) * Barriss Offee ( non-cartoon ) also wouldn't mind a : - "Sith Inquisitor" ( from star wars the old republic mmo ) - maybe a new Sith from the upcoming movie

i limit lego budget to ~ 30 $ per month , i don't play with them , only keep them on display ( even made shelves to put them on my walls ) , generally u don't need to buy that much lego if u are a moc'er since u can combine them in alot of ways and make alot of small things , BUT if u start buying 100 minifigs or lego takes over u're living space then maybe u should see a psychiatrist.

i'm hoping for a small drop in price on lego sets , lego has quality both in durability and set overall design , i wouldn't join a "side" , if mega blocks or kre-o would be interesting at all i would buy them but i fall into the 5% category of lego costumers who just buy lego for display and maintain my ocd i think

it has usefull castle parts , a unique version of micro manager , ( i like micro managers for some reason , i;m into sci-fi things )

minas morgul , altough ..., a fangorn set would be interesting too , composed of say 3 ents that can be posed into " trees " that combined with a few mini builds betewen them it would give the impression of a dark forest

source : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NPAttx-JzVs Mattel's put a foot in the doorstep of brick world industry , i wonder how it would impact the new legos as they will probably need to reduce prices , or make other changes to compete better from my perspective lego evolved alot in the last i think 6 years , i mean i'm looking at old star wars sets and they just are not as impressive as the new ones . it would seem some themes will go only to ONE company , i grew up with lego so just looking at the mega blocks minifigures for example they just don't appeal to me in any way , and i probably wouldn't buy them at all , but that's just my pov , the bricks will probably damage each other if they get combined too often also , but i'm not 100 % sure it's true i just heard rumors
