  1. Unforutnately, there's no space for another XL.
  2. No, it's not a good solution. I just like 6x6 trucks :P
  3. No, I don't use worm gears and differentials at all. The chassis is similar to this: Of course, front and rear suspension is a bit different, it is slightly shorter, but general idea is the same.
  4. I don't have got any pictures so far, but I'm going to change some gears so the truck will be faster. It's only one PF XL, and the vehicle is a bit heavy.. ;)
  5. Hello. I think August is a good time to build a nice 6x6 trial truck, don't you think? I always wanted to build one of those big 6x6 trucks from USA.. In 2008 I've built something similar, it was a Model Team rendition of 6x6 Goliath from a computer game named Insane (1nsane). But it was a static model - no Power Functions, no real 6x6 drive, and the suspension didn't work properly. Last week I found nicely made M35A2 trucks for Rigs of Rods simulation game, and that's the reason I built this truck. The truck features full 6x6 drive. The suspension is working and we've got a V6 fake enigne here and front and rear lights. The truck is powered by one PF XL, and the winch is powered by PF Medium. Some things need to be reinforced, but even the truck works fine. And of course we've got a video here: And that's the end. You can comment, if you want ;)
  6. Hi. Nice to meet you.

Hey, nice one! It can be used to play with, it does not fall apart, the suspension works, what a change to your previous models! :P And the colour is very good.. but maybe you should build it in green? :>
  8. I've tested it only on small obstacles and it was quite OK, but the gearbox is a bit weak for driving offroad. It's not a trial truck ;P
  9. Hello. I know, I'm mad about this vehicle. ZIL 130 is a Soviet truck developed in early 60s. The vehicle was produced from about 1964 till 1991 in Moscow, and the production is continued by now in UAMZ factory. ZIL 130 is a simple truck, powered by a 6-litre gasoline engine, which allows it to go around 90 kilometers per hour. As I know, there were made more than 3 million vehicles. Fortunately, lots of them are still in use - repainted, modified, equipped with diesel engines. The name "work horse" fits very well, as this truck was used for every kind of work - the trucks were built as tractors, garbage trucks, cranes, etc. It's a model of a pre-1976 ZIL 130 (later models had different radiator grille). It has got working suspension (front one is independent) and the whole vehicle is powered by PF XL motor. The truck is fitted with a working gearbox (from 8448 set), unfortunately it's not automatic ;) Here you can see some details of the vehicle. The hood, front grille and fuel tank. And a small comparison with my previous model. You can see how slow it is and now you will know that my musical taste is broken, too. That's all. Please, comment it ;P
  10. Hi. Maybe you recognize me from my BS gallery, my Flickr or YT account. As you can see, I use to build those so-ugly-but-in-fact-beautiful rusty junkers from East and Central Europe. I'm a bit of a specific person, as I'm more happy if I see a rusted Wartburg, or Lada, instead of a brand new Ferrari. That's all, I think. I'm just saying hello to everyone here ;) greetings!
