Also, the build does NOT NEED to be square. You can modify 52 x 52 so that it is still at or under 2704 stud area by making the build 32 x 82 or whatever. That may solve some of your crisis!

I would think a taller wall would be easier to defend... I thought the entrance should be taller, not wider.

Hell yeah! I like the combination of the dark bley and bley. The friends parts are an interesting contrast to the skulls laying about. I like that the shape isn't symmetrical. There is a lot to see with this one. Lots of landscaping to check out as well. I noticed this one doesn't have a backside built- I am guessing if there was an interior you'd have shown us- but any plans to make one? King of the castle title coming your way--

Thank you everyone. This is the first MOC where I am really pleased with how the pictures came out- so I hope future MOCs will appear to have this much polish. So YOU'RE the one who took them all! Actually I think DC and I have ordered a bunch as well over the years so we're all to blame. I do have them in dark bluish gray and dark red, but maybe a new technique is needed in general.

Oh Beery- Maybe lightning DID take it out- but as compared to the classic- it would look like the tree could be taller. If you don't have the right elements for that you could simply say "thanks for the suggestion, but don't have the elements to make that happen" or "I like the build as is" you don't have to attack me for making a minor suggestion. I don't do the same to you.

Very lovely flower work. I also like you added an interior and made it very "playable". Is the stable boy feeding the horse carrot AND whiskey? re imagining a classic is so much fun! If I were to make a suggestion- because you made the rock-section and the tree so much wider, it feels like the tree should be taller as well. Though you didn't post a such- I think this entry qualifies for Prince of the Forest title! EDIT: looks like you already have that titled- I must have been looking at blackmoore. Carry on!

What if the top was still dark bley but started two or three bricks higher by making the opening arch two or three light bley bricks taller... do you think that would be pimp-a-licious? I do!!

Very nice! It still looks a little low to me- but it is your gate! I guess I just imagine a gate being taller than it is wide- doesn't mean I know what I am talking about!

I like the detailing, but the gate itself seems a little low- can a minifig on a horse even get under that thing?
