  3. I haven't been told that def isn't hosting, but I'm still planning to host!
  4. Thanks! I wasn't to sure about what to do to the wall to make it better.
  5. That, was funny! Nice drawings.

  7. Arwald sends Vlan, expert archer. Who is the brother of Urlan. That would be an anniversary.
  8. Yeah, I'm working on drilling it out of him.
  9. Alright that one. I've got it myself, maybe I'll see what I can do. We'll see though. It does sound like it might work, but there aren't to many generic bricks in it though.
  10. Hm...Yes that could work, when I built it this way I made sure that it was nice and sturdy.
  11. Nice shots! Quinlan is one of my other favorite Jedi too.
  12. Yes I agree with you on those points. It is a good set now that I've had it for a while. Which raptor set? The $30 one? Yeah, stickers aren't applied to frequently in my house. Wow, you showed this to your son? I fell very honored, glad he liked it!
  13. Alright, I'll wait then. That is my suspicion, we'll just have to wait and see!
  14. Wow. Yes the judges mentioned that when they scored it, I wasn't sure what else to add to it though. Yeah, that makes more sense, but Gothmog is still cool! Hm, yeah that would be something to think about adding. Yes I see where you're going, but I had to make it more of a siege engine set or the judges wouldn't have like it. I did try putting a good bit of weight on all of the joints and it seemed pretty sturdy overall. Yeah I'd agree that it needs some work, but it did seem pretty sturdy when I built it.
  15. Thanks everyone! You're hopeless. Like I said above, I have nothing against Canadians. It was something to do to poke fun at Flare. Yes it does, all of the walls were attached using some of these on each side of the wall. Thanks, I more imagined it as him trying to part the doors as the Astronauts are madly pushing the close button, but I see where you're going with that. Hm, yeah I see what you mean there, I'll take details like that into consideration for next time.
  16. Oh Sandy, what torso does Ellaria have now? It's a bit hard to tell through the baby.
  17. What!?! You don't know what it is? This here. You sure are missing out.
  18. When I set out to build in this category, I knew I had to build something good, so I though, "Gondor hasn't been done yet." So I built a set to fill that place, it the equivalent of the Uruk-hai Army set but for Gondor. The minifigures included would be a Troll, Faramir, Gothmog, Gondor Soldier, Orcs x2. The catapult had the most time put into it as I had to make it sturdy and strong as well as use a few pieces as possible. While the wheel solution is simple, it feels like something LEGO would do. The wall is the same height as the wall in Uruk-hai Army set. The soldiers need to have a way to get up on the wall to defend the city. Since a catapult is included, the wall has to be able to fall down when it's hit. Flickr videos don't work here, so here's a link to the video of the Catapult firing. ---- This "set" has been sitting around since last Sunday as I built my other entries. I let my seven year old brother play with it as a sort of "test group", and it survived his beating. (Okay it didn't survive being chucked across the room but what set would?) The siege of Gondor has to be my favorite part in Return of the King so it seemed very fitting to build a set from it. Do keep in mind that I designed this like a LEGO set so it had to be simple and strong. Have I mentioned I don't like white-on-white editing? I was asked to build from this: 5. Lord of the Rings LEGO is coming out with their own line of LOTR, here is your chance to show how YOU would design the sets. Build a MOC that depicts a scene from LOTR, and build it like you work for Lego. Therefore, playability is a major factor here as is great parts usage. Flickr Set Built March 2012
  19. Thanks everyone! Wow, you sure wrote a lot! I feel very honored. I'm glad you like it so much. It was something my friend did and I just copied him for the fun of it. I have nothing against Canadians though. Sneaking? More like breaking.... Thanks Legostein! It took some time to get all of the shots right.
  20. Simple, and so awesome! Very recognizable to.
  21. Do I see shopped eyes on Batman? It's still a good shot!
  22. Houston on the monitor talking to the Astronauts. Houston in focus now. This has to be my favorite part of this MOC, it came out just as I imagined it. It's an eye. The astronaut is trying to fight it back, maybe that's not such a good idea.... Here's what the rest of the scene looks like. It's all for the inside shots. Here's a bonus picture of with a space scene on the monitor. Wait, what's that?! Flare! Why is there a dead Canadian in my MOC again?!? The "problem." This song goes very well with the MOC. ---- I got this category two days ago, and boy this was a fun build! It all started with the idea of a monster ripping apart a door with an eye, and Houston on a monitor in the back ground. First thing I built was Houston then the wall that backs up to Houston. Then I moved onto the floor and the back wall. The ADU guys just seemed to fit perfectly. I was asked to build from this blurb: 19. Houston, We Have a Problem These famous words must be illustrated through your creation. Not too much rules for this one, just make sure you can tie it in with the phrase. Flickr Set Built March 2012
