  4. I agree if you are working with minifig and lego standard city 4 wide for cars are the way to go. great use of the stickers is there a raceway in the pipeline.
  5. 2 points fugazi 1 point mr tool
  6. 2 points fugazi 1 point greg3
  7. Svelte you have perfectly demonstrated how well the architectural pieces like the corner wedges and new arches used in repetition can be so effective. The corner wedges every second layer are a fantastic feature. You mention adding other modules maybe you should develop a POP fortress standard. Then people could bring sections to conventions to build a massive collaborative fortress. Inspiring work, well done.
  8. These candy machines are great. Try using the base of the old car aerial for the coin slot. I filled the glass area with "hundreds and thousands" you make fairy bread with. the multi colour tiny balls look just like lollies.
  9. Clown dressing room. The mirror reflects his true state of mind Thanks and good luck everybody.
  10. For me your talent lies in bold use of colour, that may not be thought of as obvious choices in combination, yet they work brilliantly. I think the black and white stripes are what really bring it together, once again seemingly simple yet so striking. Your building style is very inspiring and I hope to put away the tan and grey bricks for a while.
  11. Might I suggest you take inspiration from the original. Being an older building was there any damage to the bricks maybe you could use that technique where the brick has fallen away revealing contrasting colour underneath, or perhaps add some simple graffiti built into the brick work. I don't think you need any help with the interiors that are very polished and well thought out.
  12. This is a magnificent achievement. Just as with the building of a real cathedral it inspires the community and demonstrates the power of the builder. congratulations
  13. I think the nurse is fantastic her chart and syringe are bound to inspire builds of many a medical clinic or hospital across the world.
  14. All the prince of persia sets were seen today at target store ttp Adelaide I went with the big set 7573 for the great parts.
  15. Thankyou all for your kind words and feedback. I would certainly gain from some more tiles to polish off the interior. This building was a challenge in that unlike many modular buildings minimal use of headlight or erling bricks were used. I also used very plain windows. So I tried to to create some interest with decorative features such as the sign, zig zag pattern around the door, curves and the wall feature with flowers. I have alot to learn but it is satisfying when the architectural style is at least recognised. Thanks again.
  16. Dr spock is on to something how about BRICK CHICK and use the Duplo chicken as the mascot for the top of building or sign
  17. This is my first topic post. This a building I created for my evolving town, I enjoyed working with curves and the challenge of an all white building. First floor Sculpture Studio Second floor Photographic Studio Third floor Art prints Hope you enjoy let me know what you think. Thanks
  18. Your Lego looks well loved. I think it's great to use the classic bricks not everything is curvy and tapered. Consider getting some tiles to match the the newer sets. Enjoy this new chapter in your Lego story.
  19. A great effort georgivar. For such a major fire centre as this I would also consider removing the front windows and adding another roller door for a second appliance. A simple colour change of the stairs would also add contrast. I like your style well done.
  20. Very solid design AlanSmith, I wonder were you inspired by the sticker? Also what piece did you use to achieve changing the angle on the flat bed?
  21. nice job Benny. I like the curve produced on the post office roof and your willingness to use those primary colours Lego is famous for. Perhaps a life size moc of a cat scratching post may be of value.
  22. great first effort Vladoniki, I have not seen those top floor windows before they look great. If you intend to have another modular building right next to it, it may need to only two floors high.
  23. From your reference pictures it seems clutter is the common thread, enjoy making all those details. On the question of nationality I guess it should based on the intended style of future modular buildings and whether it is an old building in a modern town, or head down the 1930's period with vehicles of that era.
  24. great work, I like the evolution of design. No self respecting lego town would be without a pizza place. Using the internal beam to mount the fans is a great idea, the pizza preparation area is spot on.
