What SNOT? The base of the model? Not all that special, is it? I think this is a great little diorama, not a great fan of adding laser but it does add a little action to the scene. You might consider putting the battle droids on 1x2 plates that are set in the tiled floor. It looks a little odd to see a 2x4 tan plate underneath the battle droid and you can easily remove a 2x2 tile and replace it with a 1x2 plate and 1x2 tile or even a 1x1 plate to allow the battle droid to twist a little. Here's an example of parts weight calculation. It's from a review that I never finished: I know I calculated the Landspeeder for comparison, but the numbers have been lost.

I actually think the price to parts ratio is the wrong way to calculate. We need to go price to weight instead. With all the greeble in newer sets, it's just not right to count a 1x1 round plate as a 2x4 brick - when considering the amount of plastic used. Get your scales and get working people

Do what? Allow the Free Market and thus the competition that follows? LEGO is double the US price in the EU. I welcome this competition and loss of patent. LEGO's quality has already been slipping the past few years and I think it's more a question of the Chinese factory using poorer plastic and the fact that TLG is testing out new plastic mixes. It's been years since ABS was LEGO's only plastic. Free Market ON! Now we just need the EU to skip the toll wall around Europe and open the borders for international trade. Lower prices
