Poll added. Thanks for reviewing this set for us

Perhaps we should keep track of those "fake" sets? If you find any, then post them in this topic for further reference.

Technic Cherry Picker
KimT replied to CloneCommanderDelta7's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Wow , you must really be happy about this since it's the 2nd time you post it. Same same -
Did that guy just blend an iPhone with battery? Isn't that enviromentally unsmart? Great MOC
-
I've already talked this over with Rook before he started working on the MOC and I voted that this counts as a vehicle. It's more of a future hovercraft version of a cab than an aircraft. Entry is accepted
-
Great topic, I've missed this one, but it'll definately go into the Star Wars Forum Index. "One topic to bind them all"
-
Nope. That's why it says "Rate the set" and not "Rate the review". Comments are always welcome on both set and review, but the vote is meant as a rating of the set.

No problemo. I've left a link for the Advanced Building Techniques in the Star Wars Forum Index (one of the pinned topics in the Star Wars Forum), there's a link to a pdf manual on Adv.Build.Tech. that I've learned a lot from.

You could improve the cockpit's design. Using 2 2x4 red bricks looks a little 'bulky' to me. You might consider a design where wedge bricks or plates is used instead. Also you might rethink the front... it's a little 'flat', perhaps it needs a 'grill' or something like that greeblewise? Just suggestions
-
That wouldn't be SNOT, but just 'tile'-ing or 'tiling' (covering studs with tiles to smoothen the surface). SNOT actually requires not having the studs 'on top' = pointing upwards Adding greebles and tiling might improve the chances for this MOC.

And done Great MOC. Looks like FBTB got quite a few awesome entries for that contest Now get to work on making entries for our contest

Fantastic review of this fine old set. I've just found it cheap, so within long this'll be sitting in my collection

[Brick Flick] The Shenanigans of IG-88
KimT replied to Darth_Dracus's topic in Brick Flicks & Comics
Why would you post something that you think is bad? Why do you post something you did because you were bored? If it's crap then don't post it. If you'd like feedback and comments, then post something you've made, which shows your effort. Actually I think you're doing pretty good here. The only "bad" part is where you move the perspective and don't have a stable fixture for the camera. You need to work on that. Keep it up, one can only get better by trying -
You're out of line here. We all try our best to communicate using English... Your correction is annoying at best, especially when you spell cool with a "k" yourself. Quit mini-modding, mind your own business and remember that this is just a hobby - don't let the net become your life. Think, rethink and then think it all over once more before you post. A wise man once said: "If you've got nothing to say, then keep quiet" As for me, I like all hilts. The chrome ones are the best (of course), but I still like any other colour and version they've done. They can be used for so many things. Come to think about it, I actually like the black strejitshe hilt the most - so evil having a black light sabre.

As stated in the first post: One entry per category Minimum picture requirement is front-top-rear-left side and right side, additional pictures are welcome.

I regret not buying all of the Minifig packs 3340, 3341, 3342 and 3343 and persuading myself that the sculptures of Yoda and Darth Maul weren't "real" Star Wars LEGO. Plus ignoring Watto's Junkyard and Gungan Sub was also bad... they're both around 60-100 USD in MISB condition now. Other than that I've got every single set ever made
-
Probably because we were told that they wouldn't be in the BP's But since so many now say that they have gotten one in a BP, I am starting to believe. Now who's gonna take my order on 50 Battle Packs and ship them to Denmark from the US?

The Clone Factory : Site update
KimT replied to clonefactory's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
And now that this has been "out-paged" in the Star Wars forum, I'll move it to the MCW for further feedback and comments. -
No problemo Help is always appreciated
-
That's the great thing about LEGO, you can always modify the design to suit your needs. This isn't a glue and build toy - this is modifiable This is the bubble we're discussing, isn't it? And this 'Cylinder Hemisphere 4 x 4 Multifaceted' is the name for it.

Poor guy, must have had Jar Jar do the shaving

Extras 2009 event Günzburg - ideas needed
KimT replied to CopMike's topic in LEGO Events and User Groups
Gimme Gimme Gimme and 50 EUR I don't care what, it's always awesome and to me it's just a question of "how much?" -
I doubt that. This might be a misprint, but a lot of people are making loads of money by using brasso to remove the prints and then resell the parts as misprints. But I think that BL's buyers are becoming aware of this obvious fraud. Why would they run out of ink? It's probably more a question of an unprinted box of helmets being misplaced or the helmet slipping through the printing machine without being printed.
-
Yup. I'll try to update the indexes this coming Friday if all goes as expected this week

That bubble dome/golfball/asteroid in trans-clear is awesome. I really need to get me more than one of those. Hopefully we'll see them in other not-so-pricey-sets than Star Wars
