  1. Didn't know about the file to be attached. Would have to ask admins to move it if this is indeed true. The barrels on the back are simply spare fuel the Soviet tanks carried during marches (you wouldn't see one on a parade with those things hanging on the back):
  2. After quite an effort (especially authoring a missing LDraw part) the digital model is complete. POV-Ray rendered version: LDView: LDView - wireframe :
  3. Working on a digital model I discovered that LDraw is missing part 87559.dat . Never thought playing with LEGO would come to messing with transformation matrix. Luckily found a short-cut by sketching the part and exporting it to LDraw. It's not fully compliant (no inner workings) but serves the purpose. Original (image from bricklink.com):
  4. Eat more beef!
  5. Thanks a lot KielDaMan. Spaceman would certainly be a more pleasant alternative then a suggestion I got to follow through with the zombie Another idea suggested was to add a Roman and/or Egyptian between caveman and modern.
  6. My daughter took half of the picture elements for her zoo.
  7. It meant to show an "aping humans?", i.e. when monkeys started to walk on two hind legs only.
  8. Thanks. The Gorilla fig is my favorite out of all collectible minifigs. Beat you to it, eh? Transition from yellow to flesh is the Evolution (in LEGO form) Thanks.
  9. Here is what I use: And one of my fav. figs. :
  10. You are right on the subject of the headgear, when I was putting the collection together BL showed nothing for orange, but then it came to my knowledge that a construction hat exists, although at a steep price of $30. Lately, 'World Racers' added an orange baseball cap. As a matter of fact situation with Medium blue is even worse, it would take nearly $60 worth of investments; chrome gold - $200 (a rare C-3PO) to put minifig together. Thanks, although it takes a head and what seems an even more rare commodity - hands.
  11. Neither the head nor the hands seem to exist. I read somewhere (quite possibly here, in EBF) that by mixing blue paint into gray, LEGO can save a bit of money, since it's cheaper.
  12. Yes, that's the one I was referring to - the zookeeper with a chimp. I guess the lack of tail should have been a give away.
  13. Thank you for your interest. I believe it's called Parkol. It is made out of Acrylic Photopolymer through SLS 3D printing process. I painted it to match the pictures I have seen.
  14. The Gorilla Suit Guy is my favorite in Series 4 and overall so far. I am glad to see another monkey being added to the line up
  15. The headgear is actually from a fellow forums member: woody. I did request them and he was kind enough to work with me to provide those. I painted them to my liking. The custom weapons are exclusively mine . I am an AFOL, but also a customizer and now can offer some custom weapons and accessories. Perhaps, one of you guys could suggest if it is appropriate to make an official announcement here or is it frowned upon?
  16. Tanks Captain! This is a presentation of solid colored figs. Some of the still do have prints, so I had to turn torsos/heads around. This would be useful mostly for presenting custom accessories when you don't want to detract attention to a minifigure.
  17. Thank you for your reply. I went by the Forum Themes, as it had 'Military' in it. So, this forum is only for the dioramas and individual minifigs should go as you mentioned into Minifig Customization Forum? Is there any way to move a topic from one forum to another?
  18. A nearly complete (it was later brought to my attention that chrome and medium blue do exist) list of solid colored minifigs.
  19. Mujahideen: Soviet infantry: Soviet airborne:
  20. Thanks Lalror. I'll be sure to post my MOCs here. I have one interesting in works. The eurobricks forums seem more peaceful place then say Flickr, with more emphasis on "civil" MOCs. So, where do we (military moc fans) hang out here? Well, howdy there. He-he, well that's fancy to meet a Texan on eurobricks forums :-) I am in H-town myself.
  21. I used TLC, BF, woody's and my own elements to create the minifig depicting Soviet Machine Gunner from WWII carrying DP-28 LMG.
  22. Hello fellows, - Been registered here for a year and just now decided to become a bit more active. Flickr has been so far my main domain. - I currently reside in States although I didn't grow up here. - I am an AFOL and LEGO is a hobby, albeit it takes all my free time. - I am predominantly interested in Military themed creations: minifigs, accessories and kits. Since there isn't much available from LEGO I decided to turn "professional" and join small ranks of customizers/vendors to fill in the gap. I am yet to see whether that was a good idea :-) ...
