Here an unusual moc with CCBS. An insect, and more precisely a damselfly in the act of catching a small fruit-fly.

First the actual moment of capture.

Then the return flight to perch, where it will feed on the small fly.

A damselfly is surely easier to make than a dragonfly, which don't really have spherical eyes. The model is suspended in two strings, but it can also stand on all six or four legs. It is hard to pose though, the weight of the model is pushing the limits of friction.

I hope to return with more pictures, showing the damselfly perched on a leave, eating the fly.

Comments are welcome. I hope you like it :-)

What an amazing model! It's simply beautiful! That's correct use of HF parts :classic:

Thank you for comments. As I love dragonflies, I can only agree that's it's correct use of parts. I have it perched on a green leave in my living room right now, and it has started eating the small fly. I'll have to take some pictures of it soon.
