[MOC] Darth Maul (Midi-Mood Scale)

UPDATE! Thanks to Darth Dino's suggestion, I replaced Maul's eyes with cheese slopes to make him look angrier. And, thanks to A Plastic Infinity's suggestion, I added minifig hands to the fingers to give a jointed look.

Oh, Sith! Not again!

My 3rd entry in the Clone Wars Community Build: Darth Maul! This guy took a bit longer to build than I originally thought, but I'm very pleased with how he turned out.

I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to finish this build, til I got some ideas about how to finish the legs.

I honestly feel like this is one of my best builds! I think I will attempt some new pics with a darker background, as some of the leg details aren't noticeable. Please let me know what you think!

This is a fantastic MOC. I absolutely love this Maul. You can tell he's all psycho crazy here. Probably because he was cut in half. This is really well thought out, I must say.

Thanks alot! This guy was a challenge, but I'm glad I finished him. I thought about adding decals to the eyes to make him look crazier (and more accurate). What do you guys think?

do you ave wo yellw chese slopes? That would make grimm eyes.

Do not put decals on your MOCs - it wil not match to your special "blocky" building style.

I do have some yellow cheese slopes. Maybe I'll give that a try. Thanks!

Amazing work! I love the clawed feet! Great work! Great detailing on the body and the base really adds to the presentation! I love the horns! I think detailed eyes would look much better.

Thanks! Well in the EU Visionaries story, his legs are dark grey. In the Clone Wars show, they are black with dark grey highlights.

Thanks! I haven't, but that's a cool idea. I actually tried yellow cheese slopes per Darth Dino's suggestion, which I will post soon.

Thanks for trying my sugguestion! Indeed he looks angrier now. It is also very hard to get him because he had very small eyes in the movies. Maybe this is a TCWish version kf Darth Maul :)

I also like that his temples have now a slightly angle.

I actually think they shouldn't have changed his first look. The second version is too...normal. So, no; no plans to build that version.

Really? I thought the more normal look worked for him, he was turning into a manipulator and thinker rather than a beast, with Savage taking that role.
