Scouty Posted November 12, 2006 Posted November 12, 2006 I was looking on ebay and happened to come across this: Does anybody know anything about this? Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted November 12, 2006 Governor Posted November 12, 2006 I've never seen this before! Do you have a link to the auction? Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted November 12, 2006 Governor Posted November 12, 2006 You're not thinking what I'm thinking are you Mr Norro? Quote
Scouty Posted November 12, 2006 Author Posted November 12, 2006 http://cgi.ebay.com/Vintage-Lego-Pirate-Ga...1QQcmdZViewItem tada! Quote
Norro Posted November 12, 2006 Posted November 12, 2006 You're not thinking what I'm thinking are you Mr Norro? Well you're probably thinking of "boarding and..." the auction; while I would intend merely to lay siege to it... though I see it is in my half of the world ;-) God Bless, Nathan Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted November 12, 2006 Governor Posted November 12, 2006 Yes, this is what I feared! Of course its going to be in the northern hemisphere because there is only one country in the southern hemisphere with Pirate LEGO. That's excluding Asian countries because the authenticity of their Pirate LEGO seems dubious. Are you interested in owning this board game Mr Norro? Quote
Scouty Posted November 12, 2006 Author Posted November 12, 2006 It says it doesn't come with pieces, so I guess that it has bricks and such. Kinda like other Lego Boardgames. Quote
Norro Posted November 12, 2006 Posted November 12, 2006 Are you interested in owning this board game Mr Norro? It is a nostalgia buy, but since I didn't have one originally (nor was I aware of its existence) it isn't as strong as for some sets... I am wondering if it originated from a Lego Club magazine (the dimensions look like it could have). I would also really like that black knight badge if it is the one I'm thinking of (but I can't get a good look). I'll keep an eye on the auction though... How about yourself? God Bless, Nathan EDIT: The hook dice from the orient expedition sets would suit this so well... Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted November 12, 2006 Governor Posted November 12, 2006 Of course I'm interested! Anything Pirate LEGO paraphernalia officially produced by The LEGO Company shall be mine! I have already messaged the seller to inform me of the postage costs. It shall go nicely with the tattoos and jumper I've acquired. Quote
Scouty Posted November 12, 2006 Author Posted November 12, 2006 It shall go nicely with the tattoos and jumper I've acquired. ? I can see MisterPhes pulling his hair out for this :-P . On a more serious note, perhaps this could be used as a pirate game for us? Somehow? Quote
Evil Willy Posted November 12, 2006 Posted November 12, 2006 Suposably the game is bad, thats all I know. Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted November 12, 2006 Governor Posted November 12, 2006 I can see MisterPhes pulling his hair out for this :-P . Who says I have any hair to pull out? On a more serious note, perhaps this could be used as a pirate game for us? Somehow? Exactly what do you mean by that? Suposably the game is bad, thats all I know. Supposedly how do you know this? Quote
Norro Posted November 12, 2006 Posted November 12, 2006 Suposably the game is bad, thats all I know. Well it looks like it is just a race to the finish dice game, but how do you come by your information? God Bless, Nathan Quote
Scouty Posted November 12, 2006 Author Posted November 12, 2006 Exactly what do you mean by that? Oh nevermind, I found that it would be really hard to do. Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted November 12, 2006 Governor Posted November 12, 2006 What makes you think it would be hard to do, ImperialScouts? Quote
El Bucanero Posted November 12, 2006 Posted November 12, 2006 What makes you think it would be hard to do, ImperialScouts? Maybe because he would get distracted by the pretty pictures on it 8- Quote
Scouty Posted November 12, 2006 Author Posted November 12, 2006 :-/ harhar. I was thinking that while somebody here had it, each of us would have a minifig of our choice. Who ever owns the board rolls the die. And moves the pieces. I found this hard because the players are spread out across the world :-D Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted November 12, 2006 Governor Posted November 12, 2006 I could see how someone could stage such a game... It would be a very slow turn based game where everyone has their move and the owner of the game took pictures to keep everyone updated. But the game would need to be permanently set up and it would take a very long time to complete and probably be very boring done that way. Quote
Scouty Posted November 12, 2006 Author Posted November 12, 2006 yes, that's why it wouldn't work...after all it is a bordgame. Well, is there any information on this boardgame? Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted November 12, 2006 Governor Posted November 12, 2006 But I am taking ideas for a Pirate LEGO game which could be played over a forum. Eventually I'll get round to making one, but I don't think this particular game is what we're looking for. Quote
Norro Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 Just to say, after looking at this again, I think it is all yours Phes! God Bless, Nathan Quote
Norro Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 1.50 UKL... not bad. Congrats Phes? Could you take a pic of that patch for me? God Bless, Nathan Quote
