Shawn Posted December 26, 2011 Posted December 26, 2011 Does anyone know if anyone has taking either of these train motors apart and if so, how to do it? Also, if you found it on eurobricks, how did you search for it? Quote

Shawn Posted December 27, 2011 Author Posted December 27, 2011 (edited) THis is perfect for the power function one. Thanks. Anyone seen a RC motor taken apart? I went and purchased a T6 torx screwdriver yesterday and I was able to take these apart. I am going to try to take apart the 9V motor as well. I have a broken 9V motor. Does anyone know if you can use the internal motor from either the PF or RC motor to fix an ailing 9v motor? Thanks Here is a page with pics on taking apart the 9v motor. 9V Motor Edited December 27, 2011 by Shawn Quote
JopieK Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 Well good luck doing that, a 9V motor is very hard to work with. I have modified one for DCC control, but it doesn't drive that well anymore (although it was already not that good already). Quote
Shawn Posted December 29, 2011 Author Posted December 29, 2011 Has anyone tried to replace a 9V motor with one of these motors from a PF or RC motor? Will it work? Any other options? Quote
