DLuders Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 On this Eurobricks post, Jetro announces the new issue of the Hispabrick Magazine 008. Along with two others, Jetro wrote, "It's that time again:we are happy to announce the release of Hispabrick Magazine 008. "In this issue you will find some articles and interviews about MINDSTORMS, an article reviewing the history of the Space line, the review of the new 10213 - Space Shuttle, a new tree and our famous "Desmontados" comic. We also have a very special interview with the Owner and Deputy Chairman of LEGO A/S, Mr. Kjeld Kirk Kristiansen. You can download both Spanish and English version from our website: http://www.hispabrickmagazine.com ." Quote
dr_spock Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 Forget Mindstorms, there's an interview with Blakbird in the issue. Quote
JunkstyleGio Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 It's is always fun to have a quick browse through this magazine. But i would have love to see something of a review of one of the 2h2010 technic models. Maybe in the next issue... Quote
Jetro Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 But i would have love to see something of a review of one of the 2h2010 technic models. May the gods hear you. It was actually Lluis who posted the announcement in all our names. We worked very hard to include a lot of MINDSTORMS and Technic material in this issue. There is - An article explaining the MCP ("the ambassadors of MINDSTORMS) - three interviews with current MCP members - the first part of a PID tutorial - an article on NXT actuators - a long interview with Eric Albrecht (a.k.a. blakbird) - a retro review of the 8860 SuperCar - part 8 of the LDraw tutorial (about ghosting) and much much more... We really appreciate any feedback and suggestions you may want to give! Quote
roamingstop Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 (edited) May the gods hear you. We really appreciate any feedback and suggestions you may want to give! Shrink those PDF's Actually I was really impressed with the PID tutorial - it explains it in a relatively simple way; although of course it then opens the question of doing more advanced PID control, pole placement designs, anti-wind up, and then starting onto SISO, SIMO and MIMO systems, LPQ, MP-QP and other algorithms. Ahem ;-) Oh wait... im not sure they are implmented onto Mindstorms yet. It would perhaps be interesting in a future issue to look at the different mindstorms / NXT platforms (RobotC etc) as a special issue. Edited July 29, 2010 by roamingstudio Quote
Jetro Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 Shrink those PDF's We had low res and high res version at the beginning and the low res were never downloaded... I'll look into the possibility of making them a little bit lighter though. Keep in mind that Hispabrick Magazine isn't a MINDSTORMS magazine so it is important to present an attractive mix of articles, but we I will loo into the possibility of doing a (short) overview of some of the more important languages that are available for the NXT.
