WesternOutlaw Posted March 1, 2008 Posted March 1, 2008 Check out this awesome little saloon vignette on Flickr. Having tried to build a few bars before, I really like this one: Saloon Vignette by Corran Quote
Athos Posted March 1, 2008 Posted March 1, 2008 A lot of nice details there. The legs on the top really had me confused as to how he did it, at first. The stubby legs on the bar are a good idea too. Steve Quote
Asuka Posted March 1, 2008 Posted March 1, 2008 An interesting work, beautiful and very clever indeed. *y* Maybe one or two bottles could work as a nice and colorful addition, though. Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted March 1, 2008 Author Posted March 1, 2008 I'm interested in how he created the mirror. I see a clear window, but I'm wondering what's behind it? In comparison to a bar I built for my Casablanca club, it's a lot better: Quote
SlyOwl Posted March 1, 2008 Posted March 1, 2008 I like! *y* It's quite difficult to see the spitoon though :'-( I'm interested in how he created the mirror. I see a clear window, but I'm wondering what's behind it? It says that it's the back of the Mirror of Erised. I don't have this piece, but I think that it has a mirror on one side and a picture of harry on the other... ;-) Quote

That bar in the saloon with all these nice details and the nice minifigs looks very good! Quote

If so, do you know the set? PS. Off topic, but: I like your avatar SlyOwl. It reminds me of a favorite Lich: Lich Quote
SlyOwl Posted March 1, 2008 Posted March 1, 2008 I tried finding on Peeron but could not. Is that an official Lego piece? If so, do you know the set? It's a sticker. I think that the sticky side is silvered and so when stuck onto a clear panel it looks like a mirror from behind. However, I'm not too sure about this, so here's the set: 4702 I like your avatar SlyOwl. Thanks! I like yours too - Evil Eye ON! X-D Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted March 1, 2008 Governor Posted March 1, 2008 What an awesome vignette! The colour scheme hits the mark by delving in the browns and grays which sets a very nice tone for the thematic. The accessory detail is adequate, though I think I'd like to see more steins than goblets in a saloon. Of course the most outstanding detail is the mirror and it's certainly a touch of ingenuity to incorporate it into a MOC or vignette. Is that mirror part of an actual LEGO set or is that a found object which has been incorporated? Quote
