They follow a series of oasis's, the only way one can survive traveling through the vast deserts that make up much of Kaliphlin. Legionary One: It's so blasted hot in these deserts! Nothing like the paradise we've got back in Ulandus. And I'm so blasted thirsty! Blast this whole place! Legionary Two: Blast your face, you sissy! Stop complaining. I'm parched too, but you don't hear me whining about it. You were the one who forgot bring any water skins in the first place. Anyways, we should be coming up on an oasis soon, according to this map. L1: (Grumbling) Well, no one told me how dry and hot it was out here… (A few minutes later) Hey, what's that!? Look, it's the oasis! As the legionaries got closer, though, they could see that the oasis wasn't what they were expecting… Or at least one of them could. L1: (Running towards the oasis) Look at how sparkly the water is! Such a perfect paradise of an oasis! L2: (Staring in horror) What?! Nooooo! Stop, can't you see that it's been poisoned? You're seeing a mirage! The whole thing looks toxic! L1: What are you talking about? I'm not seeing a mirage - look at it! It's so wonderful, I'm going to jump in! (throws helmet and sword into a bush) L2: No! Don't!
