As you escape from the dragon's onslaught, you find a mysterious device in the hills. It responds to your commands by moving around with gusto. With it, you hope to defeat the scourge that raised your village. However, to fight this fiend, you must trek across the lands, and the lands are filled with monsters. Monsters: A hydra in the swamp A nuckelavee in the waters. For those who don't know, a nuckelavee is a water spirit in the shape of a horse with a rider that spends most of its time as an intangible presence in the water. A manticore waiting for the right time to strike along the path A swooping cockatrice attacking from the skies A salamander in its slimey den A sphinx guarding the bridge A dragon surrounded by the burning forest Special features include an alternate path with special point spots, monster body parts that can be moved to block off paths (the hydra heads, the nuckelavee's horse head, the manticore's tail and the cockatrice's wings) and a swiping dragon's paw which can knock the ball right into one of the lava pits. Top view. The green spot is the starting point, the dragon's maw is the end and the yellow spots are optional bonus points. Yes, I checked, the dragon's wings fit in the maze. From this view, you can see the difficulties involved in choosing the bonus point route a bit better; amongst other things, you have to get out of the ditch formed by the salamander. I made various digital stickers for this project; the cockatrice's, the manticore, the nuckelavee and the sphinx's heads and the brick path. All in all, it was a lot of fun making this, and I hope you guys like it! Comments and criticism appreciated.

Manticore Last Stand of the Salamanders (WZ6:B7) For the Desert King! Having been summoned by the Desert King, the Great Manitcore travels north to help with securing the Northern corridor. The Salamanders are no longer safe behind the gates of Northwall with the manticore easily scaling the battlements and tossing down the cowering Ulandians to the Desert King’s troupes waiting below. The whole thing: The manticore didn't turn out quite as well as I had hoped - his face is certainly a little odd, but I was running low on time and started smushing pieces together hoping that they would stay in place, lol. Thanks for looking, comments/critiques are always appreciated :) WZ pick: C7

Hello beautiful Eurobrickers... After having sat on my Griffin http://www.eurobrick...3 for the better part of a year (not literally, that would be really uncomfortable!) I thought I wasn't going to wait that long to show a Manticore build... To be honest I'm surprised I haven't seen one before anywhere... with the Chima Lion and Eagle Legend beasts slotting together so perfectly for the Griffin I thought it would be in people's conciousness to build more of that ilk... *shrug* Anyhow it was a simple little build but looks very dramatic on the battlefield... and it is has some studs behind it's head so it's minifig rideable - although I don't know who would be crazy enough to do that. Enjoy and C&C as desired. Much love D

Here is the latest from the engineers and mechanics of Central Machines! The XVI "Manticore" Class mech! The most powerful war machine in Central Machine's arsenal. It has two massive 6cm gatling cannons on either side of the two-person cockpit. A smaller machine gun is located in the undercarriage. This powerful machine carries six automaton infantry troops housed in the rear. A delightful play feature (see video) allows you to pull out all troops at a single time. Here's a side view. And an upward shot. And here is a link to the video of the play feature: http://www.flickr.co...in/photostream/
