  1. Voting is Open! In a galaxy far, far away a group of characters we know so well had adventures we don't know about. We've heard about Lando's maneuver at the Battle of Tanab but we've never seen it. We saw Anakin leading Clonetroopers, but did he ever lead Stormtroopers the same way? And we know Anakin and Obi-wan escaped from a nest of Gundarks, but have you ever seen a Gundark? With the upcoming Rogue One movie, we will begin to delve into some of those in-between movie stories. But why wait! Add your own story to the Star Wars Anthology and submit it for this contest. Details There will be two size categories. The small category entries can be between 0-32 studs square. The large category entries can be 32 square studs or larger. Regardless of which size category the entry falls into, all entries must include a named, non-generic Star Wars character that appears in Episodes 1-7. For example, you could not have an entry that only includes generic Stormtroopers, but you could submit an entry that focuses on FN-2199 (TR-8R). All entries must show an actual or fictional event that is set between Episodes 1-7. Fictional events can include material from the EU/Legacy, Clone Wars shows, Rebels shows, or your own imagination! Everyone may enter both categories but with only one entry per category. One entry per member and per category. You can enter both categories with different entries, but you'll be eligible to receive only one prize. Rules One entry per member and per category. You can enter both categories with different entries, but you'll be eligible to receive only one prize. The size restrictions for the small category is 0 - 32x32 studs. The size restriction for the large category is 32x32 studs or larger. The contest will run from 1st May to 1st June, 2016. As long as it's still June 1st somewhere in the world, you can still enter. Entries posted after the deadline will be disqualified. This contest is open to all EB members, even if they joined EB after the contest has begun, with the exception of the Star Wars staff, who are not eligible to win prizes. All entries must be new creations, not posted anywhere else prior to being entered in the contest. You may be asked by a staff member to change your entry if it is too similar to an earlier creation. All entries must be built from real LEGO. No clone brands, no third-party custom parts. Digital entries will be allowed. All digital entries must use only existing pieces in existing colors. To ensure these rules have been followed, a link needs to be provided for the LDD file. All entries must be posted as a new topic in the Watto’s Junkyard forum, the title prefixed by, "[Anthology] – category size - entry name". (For example, "[Anthology] – Small – Suppressing the Mandos".) A link must also be included in this thread for your entry to count. Post pictures no larger than 800x640, but you may link to bigger pictures. You may do a 'full-blown photo edit' with all the text, effects, background compositing, support erasing, and other effects on one picture. All your other pictures may have no editing other than color adjustment or background removal for a solid-color background. For obvious reasons, any photo editing that changes the shape, functionality, or color (not tint or adjustment, but actual color) of a LEGO piece is prohibited. It is also prohibited to use the Lego logo in any picture. All entries are considered WIPs (Works In Progress) until the deadline passes. Until the deadline has passed, you are allowed to change and improve your MOC. For each category EB members will vote for their favorite entry in each category. Prizes First place in the Small Category will win 75140 Resistance Troop Transporter Second place in the Small Category will win his/her choice of either 75133 Rebel Alliance Battle Pack or 75134 Galactic Empire Battle Pack First place in the Large Category will win 75106 Imperial Assault Carrier Second place in the Large Category will win his/her choice of either 75133 Rebel Alliance Battle Pack or 75134 Galactic Empire Battle Pack
  2. Voting is now open! Each picture is a link to the original thread. Please go to each thread before voting as there are more pictures from the members that may help you make a better choice. Please vote for your favorite entry in each category by listing the category and then the number. For example: Only those who were members before the contest ended on June 1st 2016 can vote. If you were not a member before June 1st then you can't vote. This is to prevent accounts being created for voting. First place in the Small Cat. will win 75140 Resistance Troop Transporter Second place in the Small Cat. will win his/her choice of either 75133 Rebel Alliance Battle Pack or 75134 Galactic Empire Battle Pack First place in the Large Cat. will win 75106 Imperial Assault Carrier Second place in the Large Cat. will win his/her choice of either 75133 Rebel Alliance Battle Pack or 75134 Galactic Empire Battle Pack As a member can only win one prize, if a member gets the most votes for more than one category they will be given the option of which prize they want and then the 2nd place person will win the other prize. You cannot vote for your own entry! Voting will close at the end of the day on the 16th of June. As long as it is still the 16th somewhere in the world, you can still vote. [Anthology] - Large - Cold Blooded

Han's story: Look, it wasn't my fault, ok? When I told the princess that I could acquire “any piece of hardware in the galaxy, no questions asked,” I figured she wanted something easy, like a nexu fur coat or a box of disruptor rifles. I wasn't expecting her highness to request a power capacitor for a v-150 ion cannon. I had to call in a lot of favors before someone connected me with the salvage dealer on Ord Mantell. I don't know if the dealer burned us or if it was someone else down the line, but the bounty hunter was waiting for us at the rendezvous point. Waiting for me. This clown was no Boba Fett but he was several steps up from Greedo, which meant Jabba had raised the price on my head. I'd left Chewie to guard the Falcon, of course. The old girl looks a little too much like scrap to be safe around salvage yards. The princess had insisted on coming with me, to make sure I didn't screw up the deal I guess. At least she had the sense to get behind me when the bounty hunter showed up. I could have talked my way out of it. I mean, that's what I do, right? It turned out to be a moot point. The rodian behind the bounty hunter managed to drop his spanner. The bounty hunter turned his head for a second … ...and the next thing I know, I'm deaf in my right ear and the bounty hunter is flat on his back, with a smoking hole where his eye used to be. I turned around, and her worshipfulness just shrugged and asked if we could still get our hands on the capacitor. I guess watching your home planet get blown away tends to leave you a little cold blooded. That's okay, though. No problem. I can handle cold blooded ... but I'm still trying to wrap my head around the princess thing.
  4. Hallow's Eve Inn of the Wayward Angel "I'm not sure which was scarier, the junk or the people carrying it." Candlelights flicker across the deathly still room as Val Helsinger voices her opinion of the night's previous tale. Next to her, the white-garbed Isaac Faare nods airily. "That was rather lovely. I do have a fondness for such knick-knacks." The storyteller in question, Lucas E. Alan, inclines his head thoughtfully towards the quiet woman in violet. "What are your thoughts, Mallora? I must confess, I was really looking forward to your opinion of my tale." A Sharkling swathed in opera clothes lays her hand upon Lucas' shoulder. "Patience, my dear Lucas. The latest member of our Society has always been a woman of few words." "Few, but not none." He looks to Mallora with concern. "All through my tale, I have heard nary a word from you. Was it truly not to your liking?" The indigo-clad woman shakes her head. "It is not your tale that weighs upon me. It is mine." Val and Isaac exchange glances. "Dramatic as an actor. Didn't expect any less. What's this weighty factor? What has you under duress?" "If it weighs so heavily on your shoulders, our cryptic new recruit, the only solution is to 'spit it out', if you excuse my crude wording. But, please, do tell." Carlotta sits back in her chair. "Come come now dear, the night is eventually going to come to an end." Lucas, too, takes his seat, gesturing to Mallora to rise as he puffs on his cigar. "The Midnight Society welcomes our latest member to tell the last tale of the night. Tell on, Mallora." Mallora nods, rising from her seat--and then without warning, snuffs out the candle. The sounds of night rush in to fill the void--hinges creaking in doorless chambers, strange and frightening sounds echoing through the halls. Darkness falls across the band--the midnight hour is close at hand. "Tonight, all of you--even you, Isaac--have told us a tale of Heroes. It could be argued that it suits your natures, or perhaps it makes for a better tale. Perhaps. But there are other things in this world--shadows in the night, shadows lurking within us all. You bring me tales of Heroes--but I...I bring you a tale of monsters." "Presented for the approval of the Midnight Society, I call this story...The Tale of the Stolen Spirits." *** "One autumn eve, four Heroes gathered at the Guild of Invision Headquarters. The room's other occupant--a neat-haired woman behind a particularly plain desk--cleared her throat politely." "Good day, Heroes, Miss Arbour. Thank you for coming. Are you all prepared to hear Miss Persephone's statement?" QM Note: Welcome to the Quest, everyone! As always, check over your stats and let me know if there's been any mistakes or recent purchases--if you'd like to make some last-minute preparations before you post, now is the time.
  5. In a ring of chairs sits five eccentric storytellers, talespinning experts huddled up in one of Uland's more obscure taverns. A friendly, yet slightly unsettling bartender sits to their needs, silently filling up their drinks as they weave story after story, tell yarn after yarn. All of their meeting proceeded this way, all of them sharing stories... Perhaps ones they devised, perhaps ones they witnessed. Who can say? The meeting was now in full swing, one story already reaching its conclusion. One of the oddest of the storytellers takes a drag of his fungal cigar, before clearing his lungs of the noxious fumes. He speaks, clearly and distinctly: "Hmm. A good bloodbath, though I was thinking of spinning a different type of tale. Bloodbaths are so... Impersonal. As if every life lost is just collateral. The tale I have in mind is one of deadly dedication." One of the white-garbed man's compatriots folds his hands on the bar, already ensnared. "A bold proposition. You had me at "deadly", Isaac." Lucas takes another long drag from his pipe, exhaling a large smoke ring. "Don't keep us in suspense! The night is still young, after all." "Hey, it doesn't have to be personal or dedicated - when the sea itself runs red, it won't much matter who's dead. But now that that's all been said..." Val drummed her fingers against the tabletop. "Well, go on, we're all waiting!" "Ah, dear Hellsinger, but where is the build-up or the suspense if we know the what and when? Though I'll admit your tale did awake in me some of those blood-lust feelings of my primordial ancestors. Hidden dedication and intention, now that's a story worth hearing, tell on my glowing friend." The Sharkling ordered a drink bubbling and overflowing with green steam. "Bloodshed has its time and place, but the time has come for a different pace." She catches Val's eye, for a brief moment the faintest hint of a smile teasing at the corners of her mouth. "Speak, Isaac. We await your account." "Very well, friends, very well. You know I am not man of commitment. Hell, I'm surprised I'm still in this society, to be honest. And do you want to know why? Because passion, dedication, obsession... They are the most brutal killers Olegaia has ever seen Fellow Midnight Society Members, I present, for your delectation... The Tale of One Bleach Too Many." ------------------------------------- The two heroes chosen for their task - to rid a man's manor of disturbances - find anote addressed to them, pinned to the questboard. With their objective known and their destination in mind, the two heroes set off. Those two heroes are... Vindsval Half-born (Immune to Fire) (Asphalt) 37 year old, Male, Half Giant, Cleric (immune to Sealed effect) Level: 5 Power: 13 (5+8) (x2 VS Aquatic, Flying, and Mechanical) Defense: 3 (Fiery Robes of the Archmagi) Health: 13/13 (9+4) Ether: 14/14 (5+4+5) Gold: 7 Equipment: Spark Hammer (WP:8, (X2 against Aquatic, Flying, and Mechanical) lightning-elemental hammer) Fiery Robes of the Archmagi (SP:3 Bodywear +5 Ether, immunity to Sealed Effect and Fire) Inventory: Consumables: Remedy X3 , Potion X3, Smoke Bomb X2, Mead X2, Tools: Bed Roll Weapons: Broomstick (WP:7, ranged; suitable for mages, clerics, artisans and necromancers) Artefacts: Tailored Overcoat (SP: 1; Immunity to wind-, earth-, and water- damage; suitable for rangers, rogues, hunters, and beast warriors; back wear) Zunde Xravia (Da Smash Bro) 40 years old male ogre barbarian Level 1 Power: 4 (1 + 3) Defence: 0 (0) Health 8/8 (8) Gold: 10 Equipment: Bronze Axe (WP: 3) Inventory: Potion, Bottle of mead The two set off into the streets of Eubric, a crescent moon hanging above them. However, they soon reach an impasse... They had no idea where the Inn of the Wayward Angel was. They found that they were quite wayward themselves, darting around the streets of Eubric, confounded. Finally, a man weidling a spear stops them. "I've seen you walk past here twice now. Are you lost?"
  6. The night was wearing on as five storytellers continued deep in conversation, pausing here and there to refresh themselves with the meager supply of the bar. The second member of the Midnight Society, a man draped in white robes, had just finished his story. "Quite the tale of woe you had there dear Isaac, but it seemed to be missing that final twist of the dagger. My tale is one of tragedy, it pulls you in close with whispers of familiarity and kindness then stabs you in the back with sheer suffering and misfortune. Shall I tell it?" "Bah, there must've still been salt water in your ears, my dearest Galuchat! Still, though, who am I to refuse hearing a tale by one of my favorite storytellers?" "Tell away, Carlotta," Mallora replies, her misty voice ringing through the silence left after Isaac's tale. "Always have I been partial to a Madame Galuchat story." "Twisting daggers, stabbing backs - now that's the kind of story I'd like to hear." "To say I have a favorite, like Isaac and our newest member claim, would discredit other storytellers I do adore... although I must admit I am quite intrigued to learn about what you have in store for us?" Lucas replies, lighting some more scented tobacco into his pipe. "Very well then, I picked this tale up not 2 weeks ago down at the baths. I frequent there often you know, good for my skin. Let me tell you never have I heard of deeds more noble and yet so tragic, so pure and yet so horrific. Things haven't been the same since the Academy incident, you wouldn't imagine the publicity that thing got. Now I'm up to my ears in missing dogs, lost persons, broken pottery, and cheating husbands, not to mention all my regular work with the Watch! Plus without an assistant now, I'm simply swamped. Now that we've got this thing terrorizing the streets of Eubric, I'm nearly at my wits end. Tell me, which of you chaps is in charge of your little posse?" QM Note: Welcome all, glad we can finally kick this thing off. As always once everybody confirms their inventories we'll shove off in regular fashion. Just a reminder, if you want to interact with anything or try something, don't forget to bold it.
