LEGO Star Wars 2016 Pictures and Rumors

Now that you mention it, it kind of does since its kind of blurry when you zoom in. Is it just me or does the Imperial Tank look very similar to the First Order Snowspeeder?

Wow, they all look fantastic considering we haven't seen the actual movie yet. I love all of the minifigs but I can't help but notice the wonderful assortment of Rebel troops. I feel like the ATST has too many studs though; it kind of reminds me of the Battle of Endor set that included one back in the day. I'm probably most excited for the U-Wing. I love troop transports (especially the Republic gunship). Did anyone else notice the mini figure poking out of the bottom of the U-Wing? It looks like the troop bay is under the cockpit which is interesting.

What's your recent LEGO Star Wars Purchase?

I just went to my TRU with the newest 20% off coupon I got in the mail and I bought the Turbo Tank. I have always loved the CTT but as someone who owns the 2010 model I have been quite skeptical about buying the new set which is supposedly inferior in many ways. The coupon made me feel a bit more comfortable about buying it bringing the price down to $92. After building it and exploring the features, I have to say that it is quite nice despite the bad rep it's getting. Compared to the 2010 model its interior is quite lacking. However, I find its exterior to be an improvement. It is much more detailed and has very nice cannons. The observation post is also a very nice feature. The Luminara Unduli and Quinlan Vos figures are gorgeous and are awesome additions to your Jedi collections. There definitely should have been another mini figure or two though because besides those two the figures are pretty boring (unless you don't already have Commander Gree).

I haven't yet viewed SolidBrix's review yet, but based on the images and reviews by other reviewers, the biggest issue is the lack of anything familiar in the Starscavenger. I don't have an issue with the occasional "original set idea", but without anything I enjoy from the films or tv shows there is no reason for me to buy the set. At least with the Eclipse Fighter it has a brand new Dengar which is really nice and a pretty cool ship. Besides the nice low price/piece count, the Star Scavenger has nothing intriguing about it.

The other day I found the Clone Turbo Tank and bought it. I have the 2010 Turbo Tank, but I think the new one looks really nice and quite different. However, I'm still iffy about whether I should return it or open it because I'm not sure just how different it is and for $110 I want to be sure. Has anyone here bought the new CTT that already has the 2010 version found the new one to be worth it?

That's good too know. Based on the box art it looks nice on the outside, but size is something that the CTT needs so it's unfortunate they made it so small. I definitely agree about the new frigate. I love ships like that and because it was in the Republic Fleet during the Clone Wars I will definitely buy it. It reminds me a lot of the 2011 Republic Frigate.

Thanks! The A Wing holds together very nicely and is very sturdy. The only piece that you could argue is slightly easy to break-off are the back fins. Like you said there are a lot of moving parts and the fins can twist from side to side, like the fighter is turning. I think it would be better if the landing gear was just slightly longer because the fins go down just as much as the landing gear so if you put the ship down to hard the bottom piece may come off when it touches the ground. For whatever mine was missing the Turbo Tank as well. Do you think it may be an exclusive? Seems a bit odd that they had all the other sets except that one. For those that have the 2010 model of the CTT and the new one, is it worth the upgrade?

Hey everyone, I'm new here, and I have been collecting LEGI Star Wars for about 10 years. So anyway, I wanted to make my first post in regards to the new Tie Advanced vs A-Wing set. I know that most people (including myself) have seen this as a highly overpriced set. However, after purchasing the set I have chosen to now refute this point because the two ships are incredibly well designed and the minifigs are top notch as well. While the set should ideally cost around $75~, I am very satisfied with my purchase and highly recommend the set to any OT and or Rebels fans. The Tie Advanced is very sturdy and has perfect curvature based on the original model as well as its proportions. Also, the A Wing finally has finally been done justice because IMO the past models have been too small. If I had to choose I would personally argue that the A Wing is slightly better than Vaders Tie probably because the grey/green colors look so nice. Just so you all know, I found all the summer sets at my TRU in Maine.
