Some interesting new stuff, but the rest is... blah... just skimpy redesigns of LoMI. I can attest that the original tripod rover was far cooler. And why have Lego designs become so bare all of the sudden, it's like they're compromising weight and sturdiness for overall size. I'd much rather they cut down on the over-<insert that tiresome argument> gimmicks. :-/

To me, this set looks completely unrefined, like a preliminary model from a dealers' catalog. It's entirely too blocky... I know it looks pretty similar to the cartoon, but they could have at least made the design interesting. My main gripes are with the simplicity of the hull and control tower, where no innovative techniques are involved. Looks like a rather mediocre set, only to be bought as a castle parts-pack. :-/

I don't think there is an interior. This is just a nicely ornamented prop; you can see straight through the windows to the wall, plus there are no pictures of the back. The design concept is very traditional (with great results), but it would have been better if there were some little details to break up the completely white areas.

Aw dang, I only got 46%... Had to guess on lot of them.

Wow, I didn't notice this thread. I posted mine a long time ago, but here it is again-

They messed up when they first thought of establishing a company. These are as bad as those LOTR sets that came out for the movies.

Harry Potter 05: Alternate MOC: Slytherin Fighter
spotfrog replied to ApophisV's topic in LEGO Licensed
That's funny. :D It looks a lot like a WWII plane, and the jetpack's nice too. Awesome for an alternate model. :) -
This could be great with a bit of modification. Kotua: That looks like a normal hinge on the windshield to me...

Yeah, the spell looks more like avada kedavra than the Dark Mark. Great drawing overall, captures the mood of the scene well. Though from a critic's point of view, it could greatly be improved if Harry had straighter lines... and Nagini was more realistic.

These actually look like cheap knock-offs! And specialization in parts has hit M***B**** low! I've never been this disappointed by a wave of boinicle figures. :/

This is for a project I have in World Geography, where we're researching different European countries. My friend and I chose Denmark, so I drew this to put it on our poster- http://www.maj.com/gallery/spotfrog91/Ever...legoviking2.jpg Some of the details were taken from the minifigs, but basically it's a generic viking. So yeah, post if you like it. *satis*

Does anyone know how to un-radial-blur a picture? ;)

Yeah, I love FBTB, but I really don't like the Admins' bitter, lock-happy attitudes.

I believe the ship wheel is used on the very pottom, to simulate the construction zone the Falcon flies out from. I remember it from one of the toy fair pics.

Images of Dino's European version !!!
spotfrog replied to The Middleman's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I don't know why, but... I think it would have been a lot better to have a mixture of both traps and weapons. I would have made much more sense, because the guns on the US versions are only supposed to incapacitate the dinos... and are you going to just leave a dinosaur in the street and wait for it to revive? And how are you going to force the dinos into cages without 'motivation'? A compromise would have been the perfect solution. -
Another 'rumor' confirmed (not that it wasn't already)- http://www.starwars.com/collecting/news/le...ws20050708.html The B-wing looks great! Edit: Uhh... oops... didn't see the pinned topic glaring at me... :$

Naw, this is most definitely Duplo... just look at the squat figures and the chunky bricks with hollow studs. Edit: Wow.. this is like the exact opposite of the argument Mr. Phes has. *wacko*

Editted is what I meant. But well editted, so mistakes aren't noticed without inspection.

It's probably just a clean edit.

I MUCH prefer how the final version was done. All the different features come together to form a nice, creepy graveyard. I'm pretty sure "Willy One Eye " is just a placeholder. I remember on the side of the graveyard box, it had the pictures of the minifigs, and underneath, only "figure name" in place of the actual names.
