... to go boldly, where no monkey has gone before ...

I have always loved those space baseplates.

I wouldn't mind if they would be re-released - and I am happy that I got some that are acceptable through BrickLink.

This is also on my flickr account.

Ah, more monkey business... :monkey:

The rocket suit as a distant rocket is great and fits the baseplate well. And the stars in the background look nice. Is the monkeynaut on planet Simia, or somewhere else? Perhaps he's looking for precious minerals like bananerite? :pir-laugh:

Hi, I have been missing your comments. Did you see my other stuff in the adventure forum?

I will take up your idea on "bananarite". That should be fun.

Yes simple - especially the baseplate didn't take long

But I wouldn't want to add anything more.

Thanks a lot - we'll see, I am definitely intrigued by that Bananarite idea.

Very cool! I did not know the globe/helmet piece fit over the monkey! I need to get one sometime...

The helmet piece just about fits.

But maybe it was not meant to be used this way :monkey:

This is wonderful.

My original moon plates are in such rough shape...

Thanks - as to your base plates: at least you have them. Could they be cleaned?

You know, I haven't looked into that.  Any suggestions for lego safe solvents?

Well actuality for old bricks I am using the stuff that old people need to clean their teeth. I am lacking the English term here.

(Kukident or what they are called)  => denture cleaners!

Even yellowish white bricks become a bit whiter again.
