modestolus Posted November 20, 2016 Posted November 20, 2016 Hi, this is my entry for the CCC XIV - Miscellaneous - Creation. It shows the "Secret Cottage in Farnor Forest", which is based on the role play game 'Nine Kingdoms' on the German LUG Imperium der Steine. Training Hunting Fishing Hope you like it. Ben Quote
zoth33 Posted November 20, 2016 Posted November 20, 2016 This is very nice. The landscaping looks great. I especially like the trees and the waterfall and small stream. The cottage has a nice color scheme and the roof is done well. Overall great job. Quote
Leonardo da Bricki Posted November 20, 2016 Posted November 20, 2016 So many different trees! The landscape is a work of art, wonderful setting for the cottage. Quote
frumpy Posted November 20, 2016 Posted November 20, 2016 This is a great build. Lots of detail and the landscaping looks very natural. Well done. Quote
TheLordOfBricks Posted November 24, 2016 Posted November 24, 2016 This is a great build, I love all the fall colors, everything is beautifully tied together in one scene! Keep it up! Quote
Tezclatipoca Posted November 25, 2016 Posted November 25, 2016 Excellent build ! The landscaping is amazing ! I like the trees you made ! But the best part for me is the pond. You made the bottom at a certain distance and then covered it with a transparent plate ! Excellent idea ! And I like the nenuphars you made. Great job ! Quote
Mpyromaxos Posted November 26, 2016 Posted November 26, 2016 Great built with amazing landscape! very nice combination of the different trees in the nature! Great photoshooting also! Quote
Criosphynx Posted November 26, 2016 Posted November 26, 2016 I'm a big fan of builds with lots of trees. Well done! Quote
danielvermeir Posted November 26, 2016 Posted November 26, 2016 This whole work screams fall, you almost smell the the leaves! Quote
Gunman Posted November 26, 2016 Posted November 26, 2016 Great coloring in the landscape dude... :) lovely Quote
Regenerate builder Posted November 26, 2016 Posted November 26, 2016 This is superb. Excellent job on the landscaping and foliage especially. Hope to see more from you. Quote
GeoBrick Posted November 27, 2016 Posted November 27, 2016 Are those brown shooters you use for the tree trunks? Great idea! The scene simply screams for a 3 season makeover. Marvelous build, and one to be proud of. Quote
TheLordOfBricks Posted November 28, 2016 Posted November 28, 2016 Congrats on making the homepage! Quote
The lego fan Posted November 28, 2016 Posted November 28, 2016 Wow! I'm so impressed with all the detail that's been put into this! Keep up the good work. The lego fan Quote
KristofBD Posted November 28, 2016 Posted November 28, 2016 Excellent MOC! I love how you built those trees Quote
Full Plate Posted November 28, 2016 Posted November 28, 2016 Absolutely stunning trees! The shooters idea is great and the use of the humungosaur parts are really clever as well :) Quote
Staslegomaster Posted November 28, 2016 Posted November 28, 2016 It's very nice and it reminds me of an English poem about a cottage in a forest, a little man was standing at the window inviting a rabbit to join him...The treesare really nice. Quote
Svendp Posted November 28, 2016 Posted November 28, 2016 Very nice. I especially like the pond. Quote
Slegengr Posted November 28, 2016 Posted November 28, 2016 Very detailed MOC, modestolus! The foliage, terrain, rocks, and water are all wonderfully done! As others have mentioned, the use of new parts for tree trunks is great! The minifigures add some interesting life to the scene. I particularly like the color variations in the foliage and the angle variations of the leaves to give a more realistic appearance! The pond and lily pads are neat! It seems that not a detail was missed! (except, maybe, the one upside down olive grass piece in the forefront of the first picture ) Quote
The Loreman Posted November 29, 2016 Posted November 29, 2016 This is great! The cottage is definitely my favorite part of the build. Is that an upside-down transparent baseplate in the little pond to the right of the river? Quote
xxix5 Posted November 30, 2016 Posted November 30, 2016 Great detail man! I'm waiting to see if I get a tornado and I thought I would look on Eurobricks and I'm glad I did. This MOC is fantastic. Keep up the good work. Quote
JanetVanD Posted December 7, 2016 Posted December 7, 2016 Absolutely love this build! Obviously a lot if thought, care and attention to detail has gone into this and it shows. The pond, the trees and the choice of colours are my favourite aspects. Quote
Fletcher Floyd Posted December 13, 2016 Posted December 13, 2016 (edited) Your Forest-scene is stil great, Ben:-) Besides all those great trees, my personal Highlight is still the shaping and roof of the house -a masterpiece! Edited December 13, 2016 by Fletcher Floyd Quote
