Vincent Kessels Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 Here is my latest Modular Building: the Sewage Pumping Station. This is a local pumping station pumping sewage from the neighborhood to the sewage treatment plant. The side opens to show the interior. In the corner is the big pump pumping the sewage from the wet well to the outside. Click on the images for full size versions. [Flickr album] Quote
cgarison Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 Nice build. the jib crain in the building is a nice detail. I sure hope that pump is "Goulds" blue. Great work. Quote
mikaelsol Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 This is cool. I've never been to one of these IRL but it looks totally believable. Quote
GmaBlu Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 Nasty. My husband used to visit these for work so I have been to a few. Your details are spot on. Good job. Quote
grum64 Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 Great job. I can almost smell the 'effluent' Quote
eurotrash Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 Great job on the fencing - the tops of those ladders do look like razorwire. But I think my favorite detail is the two-levels you've included in the pavement. I hadn't seen that before. Quote
Orange Leader Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 This is great, I like the realistic details the most: a sharp pointed fence and a vegetated messy roof. Quote
jimmynick Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 I already saw this on Flickr, but I'd like to point out my favourite parts: the gravel (?) roof and the use of the clips on the ladders to represent barbed wire or spikes. Quote
lightningtiger Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 Excellent designing there 'VK'.....only missing a wrench on the floor but I do like the waste spillage mixed with oil/grease on the floor. Brick On 'VK' ! Quote
niteangel Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 This is an awesome build! So clean yet quite realistic :D I like the little bumps / drains on the pavement! Quote
CityBuilder Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 The roof detail and machinery are great! Quote
BricksMcgee Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 Love the roof texture - with all those olive green cheese slopes, have you purchased a Parisian Restaurant recently? ;) Quote
tikicult Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 I analyze and design these types of stations for a living. I am really impressed with the realism!! Only thing missing is a second pump for redundancy! Quote
TWO2SEVEN Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 I really like this build/idea. It is always cool to see some added realism in a Lego city layout with obscure (but necessary in the real world) structures like this. Good work! Quote
LegoMathijs Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 It's necessairy in every town. Well done, it's a nice MOC! Quote
Kristel Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 This is fantastic! A great idea and nicely executed. Nice SNOT work to hide the top part of the roller door. Quote
Man with a hat Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 Amazing how you are able to make a normally boring building into a piece of art. The details are fantastic. Quote
Lepralego Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 Great and original idea, and nice building. Congratulations. Quote
Superfunk Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 Very nice! Great idea, very well executed. All of our cities should actually have more such structures, not just cute houses... Quote
gifinim Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 I've never seen a sewage pumping station look so good! Quote
Sanoj Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 I have never seen one nor want to ,but this is awesome. Quote
Noisemaker Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 Really cool and detailed. I saw one of this in a TV program (like discovery channel) and your model is very close the the real ones! :) Quote
Adolfo Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 This is not an usual MOC to see arround LEGO world and your job with the general idea and details are great. I think this could be a theme a little bit more explored in layouts arround the expositions in our hobby. Congrats! Quote
andyscouse Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 I love this take on what would normally be an overlooked building! Quote
