robogo Posted June 17, 2007 Posted June 17, 2007 Maybe someone has mentioned before. I notice the different colour of legs for obiwan kenobi in the magnet sets Quote
oo7 Posted June 17, 2007 Posted June 17, 2007 Strange and new to me. I own the bottom variant....... Thanks for the enlightenment, Mr Robogo. Quote
BrickBob Studpants Posted June 17, 2007 Posted June 17, 2007 I think that's a new version, the Obi-Wan fig has got a headset, so it's the one who comes in the 7661 Jedi Starfighter set. It's the same minifig, besides of the hood, of course. ;-) Quote
xwingyoda Posted June 17, 2007 Posted June 17, 2007 I never really paid much attention to that first wave of magnets unfortunatly |-/ Its weird that they differ though, tks for sharing hehe I shall move that to our dear SW sub ;-) *yoda* Quote
robogo Posted June 18, 2007 Author Posted June 18, 2007 I bought the bottom variant last year. The top one was bought last week. Both had the same item number and releaase in 2005. Quote
Mr Hobbles Posted June 24, 2007 Posted June 24, 2007 Can someone tell me the difference between a magnet minifig and a normal one? Does it have a large magnet sticking out the back? Or is it inside? Can the pieces be taken apart, etc? Quote
Starwars4J Posted June 24, 2007 Posted June 24, 2007 Can someone tell me the difference between a magnet minifig and a normal one? Does it have a large magnet sticking out the back? Or is it inside? Can the pieces be taken apart, etc? It's entirely the same as a normal fig with two exceptions: 1. The torso cannot separate from the hips 2. The legs each have a tiny bar magnet inserted in them Quote
xwingyoda Posted June 24, 2007 Posted June 24, 2007 It's entirely the same as a normal fig with two exceptions:1. The torso cannot separate from the hips 2. The legs each have a tiny bar magnet inserted in them Actually theree is a magnet bar within the torso as well !! I just discovered that while modding magnet figs to what I thought were "normal" fig !! No sirrrrrrie, my figs all sticked together |-/ Not that it matters a whole lot though ;-) *yoda* Quote
Starwars4J Posted June 24, 2007 Posted June 24, 2007 I wonder if they've always been like that...I guess I never noticed due to not being able to remove the hips :-D Just remember to keep it away from your computer then... 8-| That's the main thing that prevents me from really wanting them :-P Quote
Asuka Posted June 24, 2007 Posted June 24, 2007 No sirrrrrrie, my figs all sticked together |-/ Not that it matters a whole lot though ;-) *yoda* Although that could be some The Force effect too.... 8-| Quote
iamded Posted June 25, 2007 Posted June 25, 2007 It's entirely the same as a normal fig with two exceptions:1. The torso cannot separate from the hips 2. The legs each have a tiny bar magnet inserted in them The torso can't detach due to the magnet being sealed inside. Like the Megabloks figures. Quote
xwingyoda Posted June 25, 2007 Posted June 25, 2007 Although that could be some The Force effect too.... 8-| ROFL !! How come I never thought of that |-/ :-P Pretty cool idea !! *yoda* Quote
Grand Moff Viceroy Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 i only have brick magnets, because the fig magnets are very expensive for me Quote
Mr Hobbles Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 Ahh I see, so there's no external difference and you could place them onto studs no problem? Cheers! Quote
Zaktan of the Shadows Posted June 28, 2007 Posted June 28, 2007 Weird... I'd rather get the one on the bottom. X-D -ZotS Quote
