Herky Posted August 15, 2014 Posted August 15, 2014 (edited) Get them while they last, well you can't really cause they aren't for sale, but kind of a cool idea really but I am sure this will get some kind of infringement notice from TLG's lawyers, unless they were commissioned by the folks in Billund. https://www.yahoo.com/food/edible-chocolate-legos-will-make-your-inner-child-go-94732535596.html Edited August 15, 2014 by Herky Quote
jodawill Posted August 15, 2014 Posted August 15, 2014 TLG doesn't have a patent on those parts, so people can do whatever they want with the design. Quote
alois Posted August 15, 2014 Posted August 15, 2014 No, TLC's lawyers can't do anything against using the brick shape. Otherwise there would'nt be Mega Bloks, Kreo and others. Quote
Lind Whisperer Posted August 15, 2014 Posted August 15, 2014 I get the feeling that you could make some pretty sweet MOCs with those. Quote
Herky Posted August 15, 2014 Author Posted August 15, 2014 good one whisperer...so for those that know, using the LEGO brand name on the chocolate is not an infringement? If you look at the pics in the article, the chocolate does say LEGO on it...but since they aren't for sale, the guy might be ok. I thought the patent/trademark/whatever would cover this since it has the LEGO name on it Quote
CptPJs Posted August 15, 2014 Posted August 15, 2014 Amazon and suchlike sell silicone ice cube trays in brick shapes, you could melt down your own chocolate and make some? They have minifigure ones too, actually getting some tubes of icing and designing chocolate minifigures sounds like a great idea. Quote
MiloNelsiano Posted August 15, 2014 Posted August 15, 2014 Those reddish Brown pieces that say Lego are real Legos. He's using them for molding or showing that they are the same size. The whiteish Pieces on top of them are the chocolate pieces. Quote

Roger_Smith Posted August 16, 2014 Posted August 16, 2014 Kind of reminds me of a video Ashens once did about fake Lego (the part about edible brickstyle candy is right at the beginning, but the whole video is worth watching) Quote
