SirScottLego Posted June 9, 2007 Posted June 9, 2007 (edited) Maybe this is taking a design to the extreme but haven't we all wanted color variations of the original? Kudos to Lamanda2 for giving us the official copy... Now for the color variations- My personal favorite brown grey/orange green grey/yellow blue/red Edited June 10, 2007 by SirScottLego Quote
Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted June 9, 2007 Eurobricks Emperor Posted June 9, 2007 (edited) The Redbeard torso still is one of the best official pirate torso's. I used it to make my English riffle company. Now we even have some variety in the colors. Thanks Sir Scott!! They are added in the torso library. Edited June 9, 2007 by bonaparte Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted June 9, 2007 Governor Posted June 9, 2007 How come the edges are so jaggered Sir Scott? Your last toros designs were nicely anti-aliased. Quote
Norrington Posted June 9, 2007 Posted June 9, 2007 Ah, Sir Steve, you have saved me the trouble of making a decal for the Captain of the Wicked Wench from the PotC ride! I have pictures of him, and get what his jecket looks like, but his beard covered up most of it! Unfortunatley, he is lost to the ages (temperarily, I hope), because they repleced him with Barabossa :-|| I hope they get rid of all the PotC movie references when the movies are no longer popular... SirScottLego Posted June 9, 2007 Author Posted June 9, 2007 When I shrinked them for printing the jagged lines on these disappeard and they look fantastic... Truthfully, I took what was out there and changed the colors really quickly...I'll try to clean the image up ASAP. Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted June 10, 2007 Governor Posted June 10, 2007 There's no need to clean it up if it looks fine when printed - unless you want to clean it up for presentation reasons. Quote
SirScottLego Posted June 10, 2007 Author Posted June 10, 2007 Just added a couple of pictures of the actual minifigs with decals... I think the red one really looks like Capt. Hook! Enjoy~ Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted June 10, 2007 Governor Posted June 10, 2007 I notice the grey torso is a different shade of grey to the sticker... Is this because of the printer or because the grey in torso design is the wrong shade? Quote
Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted June 10, 2007 Eurobricks Emperor Posted June 10, 2007 I notice the grey torso is a different shade of grey to the sticker... Is this because of the printer or because the grey in torso design is the wrong shade? I think that's still very acceptable. My printer doesn't give such a good result. Especially the red of my printer is very different than the official Lego red. Quote
SirScottLego Posted June 10, 2007 Author Posted June 10, 2007 As I am looking at the minifig the funny thing is that the grey sticker may actually be too dark... I think the flash from my camera caught it just right... I used the official color swatch from Lego, maybe my printers off a bit. Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted June 11, 2007 Governor Posted June 11, 2007 You could also go to a website like Peeron.com which has a colour table, then using the eye dropper tool you could grab that exact grey- providing you have software capable of that. Quote
