What do you mean, "can't be that small!"? Those gears have existed for years and have almost, if not always, served as part of a function. There is no evidence whatsoever to support the idea that the Boulder Blaster can split into multiple vehicles. The underside is purely devoted to the main function of the set. Period. There is no room for any vehicle on the interior on the set, only a 2 by X* space, no meaningful vehicle could fit inside there other than a hoverboard/skateboard. There isn't anything inside but more gears. And the top of the set won't come off either. I'm telling you now, there isn't any vehicle splitting happening.

I know there won't be vehicle splitting. I said if that was a ground vehicle splitting from the plane, it would have bigger gears, not that small that are almost never used for vehicle gears but only for functions.

I was suggesting that the rear/winged part of the vehicle would be able to detach from the front part as it looks like it is a small plane/flyer on its own and doesn't really (to me anyways) look coherent with the front part when combined as one vehicle. I.E. it looks like 2 vehicles combined as opposed to one vehicle. Those wheels/gears are actually above the fins, so not sure how they would function as wheels for the front part. But then again, that is a weird place to put gears for a spinning mechanism to make the front barrel rotate to fire the missles. That piece hanging down from the rear I don't think is a trigger since it doesn't look like it is connected to anything else.

I have no idea at this point whether it can split or not. This set looks very interesting and I can't wait to see more details.

Any idea as to when we will get detailed set descriptions with features/model sizes, etc.? I.E. official set descriptions from consumer catalogs/online retailer listings?

I'm surprised too. I've tried doing a little investigation online, but I can't find anything. Not sure if any other board members have access to the set descriptions and can share them? Also, I believe that we don't yet have an official pic of the Electro Mech. The board has been quiet for a few days now. Hopefully we get some news soon.

I thought that I read someone's post saying that there was no 70751 set. If that's the case then there is something weird about the set numbering. Having said that, there is something weird bout the set numbering, because some small sets have higher numbers than the large sets. My guess is that 70751 is a retailer exclusive that has yet to be revealed.

Still no set descriptions, but we should have them by mid-November worst case scenario since the winter wave is usually on retailer shelves by mid-late November.

Probably not, as polybags don't usually follow the set numbers of the actual sets.

I'm still banking on 70751 being a retail exclusive. Ninjago already has a lot of sets in the upcoming wave, the last time this many were released in the winter was back in 2012, where three of them were retail exclusives.

It's actually 50/50 right now. It might happen. It might not happen. We have no signs saying whether it will release, or it won't.

Last time I recall a set being canceled (we still have no idea about the Fall 2014 wave of Speedorz) there was evidence of it's existence. However, it wasn't a set number. It was a gap in the vehicle lineup for the 2010 wave of Power Miner sets. Vehicle #13 was no where to be found. After an interview with Mark Stafford (Nabii), it was revealed that this set was moved to the Atlantis line, due to it fitting better there, and was released as Atlantis set #8080 Undersea Explorer. It was then made canon in the story as Brains was added to the Atlantis line the following year.

We have a set number. Compared to the example I gave, there seems to be a good chance that this mystery set will show up. Of course, if it doesn't show up, I hope someone from the design team could clarify why that is for us.

Oh look. LEGO hired hipsters to act as ninja now. NINJAGO is rapidly losing my attention, and BIONICLE is suffocating from boredom and my depression.

Anyway, Penkid, there's no evidence at all to suggest the missing set even exists. NINJAGO has never gotten a D2C (and I doubt it will now), and even Destructoid had its name leaked. And furthermore, no photos have been leaked - at all. What happened to that Power Miners set? It was planned, yet cancelled for a reason that wasn't poor sales like Chima's "external" lines. It can happen here, and we're never going to know about it unless a LEGO dev clarifies. There is no 50/50 chance, only an illusion of one.

Edit: Also, lack of evidence to support the set will be launched is evidence that it won't be launched. In the legal system, if there is no evidence to suggest that X event happened, then it probably didn't. And if it actually did, there is not enough evidence to convict the accused.

Accuallty the first posts for this series all had 70751 listed as a set, in closing the first German site leak. I'm still cOnvinced it's a set. We are missing Sensei Wu, and he's typically fond in the largest sets for each year. With the exception of 2011.

Jay had brown hair in the first year. His hair became way lighter.

Actually, in the TV show his hair always stayed the same brown color. They just made his hair orange in the sets for some reason.

Same. I think the only reason it wasn't reddish brown in the set was since that hair piece doesn't come in reddish brown (yet), they didn't feel like there was enough of a need to mould it in a new colour for one reason or another.

I have always wondered why there was that discrepancy in Jay's hair between the show and the sets. It's not that big of a deal, but it is interesting.
