Seaman and able bodied landsman, who wish to acquire riches and honour are invited to repair on board the Revenge, privateer ship of war now laying in Halifax Harbour: mounting thirty carraige guns, with carronades, swivels, &c. bound on a cruise to the southward for four months against the French and all of his majesty's enemies, and then to return to this harbour.

All volunteers will be recieved on board the said ship ~ or by Captain James Gandy at his redezvous at Mr. Proud's Tavern near the Chanderly, where they will meet with all due encouragement, and the best treatment; proper advance will be given.

Hhhmmmm...

I've got it! Mr.Cleese is gathering men to apropriate a rebellion against Phes and the Imperial Forces!

He must be whipped, then he shall be forced to ride and listen to "It's a Small World" for all eternity! MWAH AHA HA A AHA HA! That's what you get for attempting to wage war against the Imperial Forces!

hm... maybe the point of the thread is to find the purpose of the thread... :-||

or maybe it's a pirate version of the "tie fleet-thread". that used to inspire others in the past as well... :-||

maybe one day in our lives everything will become clear to us... usually that happens when you die :-D

I think this was a Tie Army thread spin-off from the beginning. I dunno. We'll have to wait for Mr. Cleese to come back and answer our questions.

We had one such thread then certain users introduced steam punk tanks and dragons which destroyed it...

Perhaps we could do a thread like that again but with new rules that prohibit the use of steam-punks.

I'm not opposed to games, but I am opposed to what happened last time.

In order for a game like this to viable it would require definite rules and need to be constantly monitored. I don't have the time to participate or be involved with games these days, so who would do it?

Well, on my last week of school, I was brooding on what to do in stuy hall. In essentials, it's the East India Co. against the Pirate Brethren of the coast. Like the Tie Army, you get promoted. When you join you start as Marines for the RN and EIC, and Pirates for thr BoC and BC. Here are the ranks I propose:

The East India Co. and Royal Navy are seperate factions, but help each other.

East India Co.: EIC Marine, Captain, Privateer, and Offical, and Lord Chairman (East India Co. Leader).

Royal Navy: Royal Marine, Captain, Commodre, Admiral, and Lord Admiral (The Royal Navy Leader)

The Bretheren of the Coast and the Barbary Crosairs are sperate factions, but help each other. They have the same ranks.

Brethern/Barbary: Pirate, Captain, Pirate Lord, Pirate King (Leader of the Bretheren/Barbary)

Every one above the rank of Commodore and Pirate Lord have their own Flagships. As proposing these rules I request to be Lord Admiral of the Royal Navy and to have the Endeavor as my Flagship when the game starts.
