Quicksilver Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 I saw them yesterday at a Walmart in Mississauga in Ontario. Sweet. I guess since there is only 1 June marvel set out, no sence having street dates. Quote
Dr.Cogg Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 (edited) If Lego does Cap 3 set than this character might be in one of them Crossbones from Cap 3 Edited May 21, 2015 by Dr.Cogg Quote
tafkatb Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 I think Hoskins from the JW sets might work for Pym. Quote
Quicksilver Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 When is the official US release date? June 1st is the official release of the Ant Man set, while, I might be wrong, the 2 Spidey sets are August 1st. Quote
Numbuh1Nerd Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 Dastan's head would work really well, but Hoskins looks a little featureless, round. Pym's gonna need a bigger beard and wrinkles. Quote
K-Nut Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 For Pym, I was going to suggest the head on the right here, but it might be a bit too hairy for me. Quote
Marvel_Geek Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 Not that I don't want to talk about changing the heads, but before someone gets upset I think we should move the current conversation away from the purist. Brick show has put up the review for the junior Spiderman set, so maybe we could see the two other spiderman sets soon as a reveiw. Quote

Ant-Man will be on June 1st The Spidey sets, along with the DC and Scooby Doo sets in August. Quote
Legocity2713 Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 (edited) Age of Ultron, yet on topic Spoiler: Anyone think of using the containment pod that Terabyte from Ultra Agents Boat set 70173 was in as the cradle from AOU and putting the vision inside it? I think it would be better than what we have now. It even opens from a side hinge and is well sealed :classic: Edited May 22, 2015 by Legocity2713 Quote
Im a brickmaster. Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 I found a whole rack of Electro poly bags at my local TRU and grabbed 2!!! In person the grey torso flows to the grey printing on the legs pretty well and it doesn't bother me too much, but, over all totally worth 3 bucks! Quote
Cammo Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 There seems to be a hold-up for the Ant-man set because it has 'design flaws/quality issues': http://www.thebrickfan.com/reports-of-quality-control-issues-with-lego-marvel-super-heroes-ant-man-final-battle-76039/ Quote

Butterfingers27 Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 Question for those who have it: if I have both the Quinjet and Hydra Chase sets, is getting the full Avengers Tower set worth the price point? I had a thought of getting the Tower and the Ant Man set next month to get the Winter Soldier, but I already have 2/5 of the minifigs in the set, and was just planning on buying the Tower second hand. It sounds like design flaws, which are easy enough to fix. This won't go big on the secondary market for this issue, as it doesn't sound like a true "error" collectible; more like throw in a couple more bricks and its solved. Quote
lessjunkfood Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 I was able to buy 76039 Ant-Man at my TRU yesterday (manager had to come type in a code to OK the sale, said they'd gotten a go-ahead to sell before the release date, acted like it was a bother to have to do that each time) but haven't had time to build yet. I will check for any lot numbers etc on the package, are they in any typical location? Quote
wilson3a10 Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 I don;t think antman set will be as popular as the avengers sets. I will wait for a price drop. Quote

Zhagas Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 Ive never seen a price drop for a $20 Lego set While I can't remember an official price reduction I've noticed most of the $20 sets drop into the $16-17 range on amazon and walmart.com after a few months. I've gotten Captain America vs Hydra, Doc Ock Truck Heist, Spider-Cycle Chase and Wolverine's Chopper Showdown all in that range. Quote
Numbuh1Nerd Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 I wonder how long that'll take to patch up? This Ant-Man set has me more excited than the Miles Morales one (which is really saying something) so I want to get my hands on it as soon as possible. The $20 price point seems perfectly reasonable to me, if not a little too cheap. How much is the Sandman/Rhino set supposed to be? Because this wave seems like it might be the most wallet friendly one I've seen yet, as far as must-haves go. I'm assuming the Ultimate Spider-Man vs. Carnage set is $15, right? (Part of me wonders if any of that quality control time might be taken to give Hank a new head design, although that's pretty unlikely. I can dream, though..) Quote

The sandman set is $40, carnage is $13, Spiderman juniors set is $30. It is a more reasonable wave but the junior price upsets me. Quote
