DJ Bricks Posted January 18, 2015 Posted January 18, 2015 Considering that March 1st is the street date for the sets. I highly doubt we won't get pic two weeks before that at a toy fair. I mean if they wanted to avoid spoilers then why hasn't lego or Marvel asked to have the catalogue pic be taken down? Quote
The Joker1 Posted January 18, 2015 Posted January 18, 2015 Thank you greatly sir, this is going to get expensive, now i remember why i do overtime, do we think the exclusive hulk set will be £50? Quote
just2good Posted January 18, 2015 Posted January 18, 2015 People got pictures last year from London. They posted anonymously, but they were still taken. Lego hasn't allowed pictures of sets based on future Super Heroes movies to be taken at Toy Fair, EVER, and until last year they didn't even let anybody, but a select few, see the sets in person. Pretty good chance we'll get details of the summer comic sets at London and pictures of the summer comic sets at Nuremberg or New York, though. Yeah, they have not allowed pictures of movie sets in the past, and with AoU being a HUGE movie, chances are they'll take extra precautions to avoid potential spoilers. ...no. Let me give you a run down of all the past toy fairs and Super Heroes: 2012 - At London, they showed the same as what they showed at New York. They showed parts of sets, eliminating all Chitauri parts to avoid spoilers. London did have the sets in a top secret area with no pictures, but at New York, Marvel.com officially revealed early pictures of the sets (again, no Chitauri). 2013 - At London, they showed all the Iron Man 3 / Man of Steel complete sets. At the German toy fair, they showed all the sets as well- and this was where the photos for the set was leaked. All cons had the sets in a top secret area, but an official toy reporting YouTube channel acciddently uploaded a video show casing all the complete sets. The video was removed. New York had all the sets blocked off as well. 2014 - At London, the Guardians of the Galaxy sets were completely blocked off unless you were a licensee, so Brick Fanataics and other sites couldn't really report on their looks. At New York, the sets were shown but prohibbitted for photography, but the Milano was officially revealed (with HD pictures) a few days before New York. A picture of the Knowhere set was leaked from a slanted photo taken at New York of the Spring 2014 sets. Now, LegendsOfNinjago, I'm guessing you're talking about the leaked Ninja Turtles movie sets picture from London, which was secretly taken and posted by someone on 4chan. Considering that March 1st is the street date for the sets. I highly doubt we won't get pic two weeks before that at a toy fair. The catalog showed them in full in December, as does the new Argos catalog. Quote

It's an official Lego Catalog after all! Edited January 18, 2015 by kevkipo Quote

Jay_Em Posted January 18, 2015 Posted January 18, 2015 Are Argos prices ever inflated? I thought the Quinjet was rumored at £60. Quote
The Joker1 Posted January 18, 2015 Posted January 18, 2015 Are Argos prices ever inflated? I thought the Quinjet was rumored at £60. not generally, I imagine if thats the argos price that will be the S@H price, The UK has been getting some pretty unfair exchange rates recently *cough* aquaman *cough* Quote
Swifty118247 Posted January 18, 2015 Posted January 18, 2015 Are Argos prices ever inflated? I thought the Quinjet was rumored at £60. As a worker at argos I can confir that this will be the actual price. I'll let you know when they arrive and (unless I'm risking my job doing so) try and get some pictures. Normally the stock room is pretty empty and the guys are pretty relaxed so hopefully they won't mind Quote
Scarilian Posted January 18, 2015 Posted January 18, 2015 When it has a 'buy now pay 3 months later' on Lego you can tell the price is too high :L Helicarrier will determine which of these i pick up. If i decided to get the Helicarrier i'll likely just pick up a couple of Iron Man Vs Ultron and The Hulkbuster Smash. The more i look at it, the worse the tower appears to be, it just looks so basic and empty designed solely around functionality rather than looks. Despite not having the original Quinjet, i do own the Milano so i dont really want a new Quinjet either. Only thing that drives me to get those sets is the figures. Wonder if they fixed the Super Jumper thing... Quote
Faefrost Posted January 18, 2015 Posted January 18, 2015 I have literally no where to put a giant hellicarrier - and we'll worry about that once I have that bad boy built! This could be a wonderful display set - don't screw this up lego! Looking at the blow up still photo of Marcus Besos and the Helicarrier nose from the designer video titles, I think we all may be over estimating the scale a little. The ships nose as seen makes me think the size may be closer to 10198 Tantive IV than the 10221 SSD. Probably ~ 2 1/2 feet long. Quote
