jhaelego Posted August 12, 2015 Posted August 12, 2015 I just noticed that the guys in the freeze frame from the TV promo on the left of that first groop of FO stormtroopers are wearing the helmet from that goofy looking minifig that leaked. Looks like a black clothes instead of the light gray however. I will say that the helmet looks less goofy in that freeze frame. Quote
cullmancreations Posted August 12, 2015 Posted August 12, 2015 Hey guys while on vacation in France I managed to get some pictures of the new star wars ultra build figures and a advertisement for the force awakens sets. These were taken from recent French Lego Magazine. If you guys have seen these before let me know and I can take them down. Quote

JimCanuck Posted August 12, 2015 Posted August 12, 2015 Any pictures are good. With a thread this size I am sure some of us missed it the first time around anyways. Jim Quote

benjiv1 Posted August 12, 2015 Posted August 12, 2015 Not specific to Lego, but here are some new pics from The Force Awakens. If nothing else, it gives us some good comparison photos for some of the mini-figs, whenever we get around to seeing the rest of them. Slight spoilers obviously... http://www.joblo.com/movie-news/ews-star-wars-the-force-awakens-cover-plus-12-new-images-604 Quote
namioik Posted August 12, 2015 Posted August 12, 2015 Let's all applaud Lego. Almost half way through the month before release and we only seen 2 out of 7 in the wave... Quote

namioik Posted August 12, 2015 Posted August 12, 2015 Better than usual though, no? I would agree. Figures are just the cream of the crop. We haven't seen the sets themselves (which IMHO is what matters) Quote
Pulp Detective Posted August 12, 2015 Posted August 12, 2015 (edited) Figures are just the cream of the crop. We haven't seen the sets themselves Well I'll have to disagree, for me usually the main interest in a SW set is the figures themeselves, because quite frankly I'm dissapointed on how TLG doesn't take advantage of how huge the universe of Star Wars is and make more often location based sets. rollermonkey Posted August 12, 2015 Posted August 12, 2015 Location based sets don't swoosh very well. Quote
Darth Punk Posted August 12, 2015 Posted August 12, 2015 Location based sets don't swoosh very well. You don't run through your house carrying your Death Star? Am I the only one? Quote
Pulp Detective Posted August 12, 2015 Posted August 12, 2015 (edited) Last year's mos esley cantina is one of the best SW sets I own and I'd like to see more of this.A remake of Yoda's hut would be great, any way I'm getting out off topic here. Edited August 12, 2015 by LOTR34 Quote

Location part I can agree on. We do not have enough. Hopefully we will end up with something from episode 7 by the beginning of next year. Quote

Richpepperell Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 I'm dissapointed on how TLG doesn't take advantage of how huge the universe of Star Wars is and make more often location based sets. I totally agree. The Death Star Final Duel has been my favourite set this year. I have very limited display space, and vehicles don't tend to hang around for long. When I've got location based sets out - they stay out! I tinker about with the minifigures every time I walk past. That said, lack of official location sets does give me plenty of motivation for MOCing my own dioramas. Quote
Jay_Em Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 Just listing OT locations we don't have as sets yet- -Lars Homestead on Tatooine and/or Old Ben's hut? They could work as a massive Tatooine playset with Tuskens and banthas, but I think it's unlikely. Then again they have a new Tusken mould I'm sure they need to reuse. -Yavin Base? It surprises me how many Hoth base sets we get and not a single Yavin IV set, but I guess it's not particularly memorable as anything other than a hangar. -Hoth? Do we have any Hoth sets yet? Oh wait, only about a million. -Dagobah? As mentioned above, this is long overdue. Summer 2016, calling it. Though other than Yoda, Luke, and R2, there's not a whole lot of figures to include here. Unless we finally get a trans-lightblue Obi Wan... -Cloud City? Also massively requested by fans. Maybe the rumoured Carbon Chamber set next year will start a trend. Sadly I think it means no Cloud City mega-set for a while. -The opening third of ROTJ in Jabba's Palace has been thoroughly done since 2012. -There was a Home One set a few years back. -Endor has also been thoroughly milked of sets for a few years now. The bunker set will be 7 years old (!) next summer though. Maybe the corridor Luke chats with Vader....? Eh probably not. -The only other memorable scene was the Final Duel, released this year. Anyone think of anywhere I've missed? I think this is pretty much it for Ep. 4-6. Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 Apparently the new Constraction Figures are available in Toyrsus, most likely in Europe. Quote
