Most AFOLs I've met are Canadian. It seems like most (including me) pronounce it Tech-nick. I have heard it pronounced Tech-neek by a few people though, but they are a minority.

I always thought it was a play on the word technique, and so pronounced it that way until I heard a speech from a LEGO v.p. who pronounced it tech-nick, so I pronounce it that way now, too.

I also thought Ninjago was ninja-go.
