Can anyone tell me if it's possible to generate a parts list in LDD? I know it's possible to click a part in the build screen and the part number shows up. But for every part that's a lot of work. ;-)

I discovered Wantedbricks 1.1, but that software works partially, some bricks are not recognized.

Hope to hear your ideas.

You don't even need third party software to generate a simple parts list. In LDD, go to File -> Export BOM (or as a shortcut, you can press Ctrl+B), where BOM stands for Bill Of Materials, just another name for a parts list.

The program LDD Manager creates a detailed parts list as well, and allows you to export to Bricklink etc. So you could check that out as well. There's even a thread on this forum for it. I hope you find this information usefull!

Thanks a lot for your quick help Beaver! The BOM option is the best for me, because the LDD manager shows up with too many unrecognized bricks. I will manually type the partnumbers into Bricklink.

Probably this is due to decorated bricks (and maybe some new brick, as Superkalle is waiting for the next fix to update LDD Manager).

Mapping standard bricks require a lot of work, but mapping decorated bricks requires a lot more.

You could use LDD Manager as basis, and then add manually decorated bricks. The conversion of part IDs is not so trivial.

You are totally right Duke, the part number does exist, only the text after the partnumber is unknown. The import into Bricklink works perfect and the few unrecognized bricks are easily corrected manually. Thanks!
