Well, it depends from which Era are you :),,,,back then this is how lego was demonestrating their Minifigs in all their sets :),,,for me it is a memory and vintage remarks,,for you since your opened your eyes with new Lego format, then it is indeed a strange this to you ;) Cheers I can also confirm that they used to ship with the heads already attached to the torsos. I guess that means I'm old! I can't remember, but did they stop doing that at the same time that they introduced printed faces (with the Pirate range)? Quote

Well, I have the Café Corner which was made in 2007. The heads are classic but are separated from the torsos. So it could be in 2007 Lego started to separate them?!.. Well I have sets till 2002 and then from 2007. There is a gap of 4 years between 2002 and 2007. So even the heads could be separated in these years too!..:-) Who knows!!
