Jim Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 Thanks. Is there a hamster tag I can get, too? :) I will look into it Quote
TheItalianBrick Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 Hummer's gearbox - so dead simple, it needs no instructions. The only things to remember is that you slide the entire gearbox (e.g. with a small LA) while the chassis, input and output remain fixed. You can also swap input for output, and whatever piece you put between the lower pair of gears acts only as a spacer. I would not recommend a bush as a spacer, as it will add friction when shifting the gearbox. Angle connector works fine, provided you attach it to the frame, because you don't want it rotating and hitting the gears above it. First of all I would say it look impressivly strong, simple and due to it's sliding soul looks like works very well! But as I said we are still talking about sliding gears engagement, soon I'll come out with my huge moc where the gearbox it's a pendular switching one. It get's more piece of mind in terms of torque, specially when we use 2 or 4 XL motor on our vehicles! You know what I'm talking about! Anyway, dude, your Hummer it's such a wonderful creation! I love it as hell!   Quote

You could also probably use one of those new red 8 tooth gears as a spacer since they don't have any friction.. But the way that you did it with the #2 connector probably adds a bit more stability... Withacee Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 I hate hummers, just as I hate any big car, but I definitely respect the effort you put into these builds. Well done. Quote
AlmightyArjen Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 This is once again a wonderful creation! Respect, wel done!! Quote
ManInATopHat Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 Holy Christ! It's... it's... it's beautiful! Fantastic build! Quote
grum64 Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 I never thought the words Hummer and beautiful would ever go together but with this, they most certainly do. I love it! Quote
Thor Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 Can you sometimes build something that is not awesome? I think that is impossible. For me this moc is one of the best that you made last years.:) Quote
Sariel Posted June 26, 2014 Author Posted June 26, 2014 Thanks. I'm not so enthusiastic about this model myself, I hope to build something much more interesting this year. Quote
