Alan had been reading, but no reply. A possible sign he's off consulting more experienced players?

Over defensive, add to that revenge voting.

Day one votes have little substance, but revenge voting has even less substance than that. You've done this game 20 times, you should know better.

This has nothing to do with revenge voting. You are on me like flies on a fresh piece of dung. While I've done nothing wrong. You keep accusing me without any evidence.

Revenge voting. It's not a legit reason to vote someone, and you should know scum are almost never going to be out with accusations day one.

Revenge voting.

There needs to be more discussion here from a variety of people. It seems like it's mostly down to Da Shen and Tiffany attacking Alan and Bebe. The odd thing about it is that Bebe hasn't really tried to distance herself from Alan so much as point out why Alan's behavior isn't necessarily scummy. At least, that's what I've read into it so far. I think the strongest conclusion to draw so far is that Da Shen and Tiffany are not both likely to be traitors. I don't think they'd be teaming up in this way so early if they were.

In terms of being able to analyze the vote, we may not be able to publicly state who we're voting for today, but it looks as though we can say who we voted for yesterday. So we ought to be able to at least partially recreate the vote tallies in retrospect. Sure, we'll lose at least one vote, but I propose that we make some go of it. Some will most likely end up lying, and there won't be a way to prove it one way or another, but it will give us a way to hold people accountable for what they say.

We can say who we're voting for, just not formally state it and keep a tally.

3. You may not vote in public, nor are you allowed to pretend to vote in public (through FoS: Character (Player), etc.).Discussion of voting is fine, but attempts to circumvent my rules here will be dealt with very harshly... Voting is mandatory, and should be done via your role PM. Additionally, there will be no public vote tallies, only a tally of how many votes I have, and how many I still need.

48 hours in, and barely anyone is talking, and even fewer are saying anything. Good job, scum. Day one goes to you.

Well call it what you may, you think my vote for you is my way of revenge for accusing me. I think my reason for voting for you is that you are trying to get everyone to vote for me solely on the fact that you think I am obnoxious which in my eyes isn't a legitimate reason at all. #clueless

Let me guess: being unable to read is part of your character.

I said a while back that I was voting for Alan. On top of that, your reasoning: I'm trying to get everyone to vote for you... Can you find examples of that? Have I been campaigning? Oh, wait, you can't read.

Revenge voting, bad play. Especially if you are town, since when I die and come up town, you'll be first to get lynch.

To summarize: Bebe says nothing of use, revenge votes, makes up specious reasons. Bad signs all around.

Is this the first time you've said anything today? Why????? Can't you at least speak up a bit and try not to look scummy?

"Nope."

"Who did this? Who? We must find the killer, so I can go home."

Way to bring up your fluffy post from the beginning of the day. Don't you think, that within 48 hours, you would have came by and been able to say anything substantial to help the town progress?

Saying anything that's already been stayed is better than nothing at all. In our situation, that's better actually, because we can see where people are likely to put their votes and where their suspicions lie.

Yes. At this point, we will have nothing to learn in upcoming days. Only Tiffany, Benito and myself have stated actual opinions, and Bebe and Alan have done the old "You think I'm scum? Then I think you're scum!" which is utterly useless to everyone in hindsight.

It's not that Tiffany or Benito are definitely town, but that if they were to come up town, something might be made of what they've said. Everyone else? Not so much.

"That sounds a lot like band-wagoning to me."

Like you voting for Bebe? :look:

Alan, that's me, is older than you think and actually went to bed to get some sleep as it has been a long day.

And with a cup of coffee this is the first chance I've had to catch up.

Nice to see others giving their thoughts.

Using this as your first game is no excuse. You were good enough to get here. What Shan is saying is that the fact that you're new means that it's a very easy mistake to make as a new player, which makes it even more scummy.

Thank you for clarifying.

I make no excuse for my poor performance, I was however merely stating that as a new player I was making very stupid mistakes. My appolagies if it makes me look scummy.

No worries, time zones and all...

As a scum player are you making very stupid mistakes? Because being defensive this early does make you look scummy. But we've gone over that already.

Yes, Alan is scummy, yes, Bebe is being annoying with her number-sign phrases and stuff, but I want to think outside the box because in a quantum system, sometimes you can find particles in classically forbidden regions. So I have been thinking about Da Shan.

Anybody have any ideas or strategies for handling this situation?

What situation? The feds situation, or the private voting situation?

I personally haven't, but I think it's pretty crucial that people start giving ideas on how to work with this.

They can't exactly own the vote, but I expect that they will publicly have differing opinions, and privately all just lump onto whoever they want. But publicly, they will have differing opinions. This will make it really hard when we want to lynch an obvious scum bum, and it doesn't go through because some folks are lying to us all.

Yes? Are you bringing anything new to the table?

Day one lynch of scum is virtually impossible, unless all townies vote together.

Did you mean to say "unless we all vote togther", perhaps?

New? No. That's a ridiculous expectation, but I've made accusations with reasonable reasons, for day one. Do you disagree?

Did you mean to say "unless we all vote togther", perhaps?

No, because unlike typical situations, where scum can be counted upon to join in on votes against scum in order to look good, in this case, no. Only town will be voting against scum. 'We' in that case would be a confusing thing to write, since I was emphasizing the need for town to vote together. So I meant town. I appreciate the fact that every game, someone will take it upon themselves to play 'pronoun police' but it's pretty unhelpful, and will not wield results.

By day two, I expect to be both alive and cleared as town. Make of that what you will, but you know how these games are, with their wonky roles and all. Vote for me day one only if you honestly think I'm likely scum.

Morning, I went back through the posts to see who we've been hearing from and here's what I found (I didn't recheck my numbers, but everything should be at least close)

Bebe*8

Fritz*2

Benito*5

Calvin*2

De Shan*19

Alan*18

Juan*6

Jasper*5

Abbot*3

Miguel*2

Mie*7

Katalina

Tiffany*16

Paco

Notice we've only heard from Paco and katalina once and Calvin, Fritz, and Miguel twice. My thinking is scum may think they're better off staying quite day 1 and letting town kill one of their own. This may not be the case, but it's a possibility.

So, you've voting off someone based on how they're annoying you? Why don't you try basing your decision on something more than that? Just because Bebe is obnoxious (and she revenge-votes, says fluff, and doesn't read properly), doesn't mean she's automatically more suspicious than Alan, who has publicly said that we shouldn't work together because that's something the scum do, and is offering a lackluster defense with the same revenge-voting mentality as Bebe.

I also find it humorous that when asked if you said anything else today, you referred to a fluff opening day post. You're rising up there in my book of suspicious scum.
