wunztwice Posted May 29, 2007 Posted May 29, 2007 (edited) Hey everyone! I know some of you have seen this MOC on C-C, but I figured I might post it here so the rest of y'all can see it too. Feel free to leave criticism and comments here and on Flickr, thanks for looking! (pic=link) Also, at the behest of SW4J I have added the link to brickshelf which I forgot originally: The brickshelf gallery Edited May 29, 2007 by wunztwice Quote
Brick Miner Posted May 29, 2007 Posted May 29, 2007 (edited) nice... the woldpack tower was always one of my favorite castle sets... and i think you have done it justice !!! i like how you have, more-or-less, just recreated it on a larger scale. im not sure i recall seeing any MOCs in this style before... i'd like to see more. also, i notice you have a lot of cypress trees... that must be nice ;-) - BrickMiner Edited May 29, 2007 by Brick Miner Quote
Sir Dillon Posted May 29, 2007 Posted May 29, 2007 Well, you probably already know my thoughts on this, but I thought I'd say again that I love it. Great work. :-) Quote
Starwars4J Posted May 29, 2007 Posted May 29, 2007 I know there's almost no way to convince you, but I hate flickr with a passion. It loads so slowly compared to brickshelf...it makes going through the pictures a chore, which is a shame as it's an amazing MOC! My one criticism would be to make the fibre-optic cable come from under the fire, as right now it doesn't look too real :-P Other than that this is a spectacular show of a tribute and re-creation for an amazing set Also, is this chair from Bellville or...? I don't believe I've seen it before. Overall a fantastic MOC in it's own right :-) Quote
wunztwice Posted May 29, 2007 Author Posted May 29, 2007 Thanks everyone for the replies! I work very hard at my landscaping and fig placing as those are two things which can either make or break a large MOC like this, IMO. Yeah, those cypress trees, I got them all for super cheap in various lots... :'-) The stream was an idea of mine inspired by the seep part challenge over on Classic-Castle! All the details like the cross windows, lanterns, etc. are my favorite parts of any castle MOC I make, so it's nice to have them appretiated. Thanks again everyone! Brickshelf gallery I forgot in the original post (I just like Flickr for the note function, espeically). Yeah, and with the lower fiber optic cable it slipped down into veiw and I didn't notice it during the photo shoot :-$ As for the chair it is actually a fabuland part (I love fabuland for some of its odder parts!) See it here! Quote

See it here! Ah, thanks! Both for the BS link and the part link X-D We have quite a few fabuland fans around here, so I'm surprised I haven't seen it before! There are a lot of very useful parts from that..."theme" What are you working on now? Quote
iamded Posted May 31, 2007 Posted May 31, 2007 Wow, that is excellent! Great job! My friend in Wellington has this set, it's really neat! I want your version though! :-P X-D Quote
wunztwice Posted May 31, 2007 Author Posted May 31, 2007 Thanks so much again guys! Ah, thanks! Both for the BS link and the part link X-D We have quite a few fabuland fans around here, so I'm surprised I haven't seen it before! There are a lot of very useful parts from that..."theme"What are you working on now? Yeah, some of the parts are uuber useful, others not so much :-) What am I working on now? Well, Homework mostly :-( As far as LEGO goes I have a first attempt at a steam locomotive, first attempt at a steampunk MOC, sorting to do, and a small start on a Medieval church based off one in my college town. Unfortunately I probably won't get much done on them before summer break, and then I go on to fighting wildland fire, so not much time. I hope to finish the engine and steampunk MOC over the summer though! Thanks again for the intrest! Quote
