Hi all, I started to sort my LDD creations folder and came across a few older MOCs that I haven't uploaded yet. I'm also testing various techniques for optimal performance of POV-Ray so my apologies for anything odd that I miss while editing the renders.

First up is my version of an Aussie classic, a Holden Torana SLR 5000 from 1977. I almost bought one of these a few years ago but regrettably wasn't quick enough with an offer :( The MOC is fairly basic with the minimum features thrown in and it can seat a driver if his arms are pointed up slightly.

My next MOC is a Chevrolet Camaro from 2010. I think I originally made this as a mod based on the older police cars that were in the City line. I made a couple of minor changes to it after I found it like the front grille area and rear fender. The 1x2x2/3 bow bricks (a personal favorite part) make the transition to the boot so much smoother which just wasn't possible when I first made this.

Keep an eye out for more soon, and let me know what you think.

Go Ronna.......it's not in Brock's colours though !

Nice designs......I would prefer them as five or six wides......but still Brick On with football, meat pies, kangaroos and Holden cars !

Thanks Lightningtiger, Brock's Torana would be epic but this was more of a standard car for around the city. I think the orange was to try and have a neat looking non-utilitarian vehicle in the colour, but it was originally made in 2012 so who knows what was going on in my head. I might re-do the Torana in 5 wide and give it the whole Brock treatment, I've got a few more tricks in my bag and a bit of free time ahead so anything's possible.

Hi all, after building the Mini Cooper polybag last night I had to modify it to fit a minifig. The end result is only slightly different on the exterior to allow for the minifigs legs and they can't have headwear on, but that's fair enough with such a small model. The .LXF is up on my brickshelf account for anyone who's interested.

Thanks CityBuilder. I think the Mini Cooper was intended to seat a minifig, but then it wouldn't fit with the large scale/micro scale they started with the Combi. At least it only takes a couple of basic parts to change it though.

An all too common sight around any city, the white van. It didn't take long to modify my Sprinter ambulance back to a base model and without any of the equipment in the back there's about 3x9x3 bricks worth of space opened up, with only a slight intrusion by the fender parts. This should allow for a bicycle to fit in even with the low roof, and an additional bricks height should allow a dirtbike or the old style bike to squeeze in. All that's left now is to try and squeeze a steering wheel in the cab.

Comments and criticisms are welcome, and if you want to make your own versions I've put the .LXF file up on my brickshelf account.

Thanks LT, I always try to build on a sturdy base so most of the van's pretty sturdy. Only the windscreen and top of the bonnet are barely connected so that'd be the weakest point but since it's built above a flat section it should be fine for moderate play. I'd usually test it as I was going but I'm on a bit of an extended period away from home so I'm stuck with just LDD for the time being.

My latest couple of cars will give the police a run for their money. They are the Craig Lowndes edition of the Holden Commodore SSV Redline in red of course, and on the other side of the fence, the FPV XR8 in blue. While there's nothing spectacular about these MOC's, I think the new wheels are going to make any future performance cars look so much better and I can't wait for a bit more variety when the Speed Champions line gets into full swing.

Thanks LT. Ahh the old scaling dilemma, while six wide would allow for more details and better proportions, but if I keep building in City scale then I can continue to buy City sets to fill my streets. These both still look normal on the back of the 60060 Auto Transporter or the 60017 Flatbed Truck, which I still have assembled, so it's only natural that it's the way I build. As for muscle cars, I think they'd be better off limited to five wide, with six wide reserved for trucks and supercars like the Ford GT and Bugatti Veyron, but that's just my opinion.

I'm flicking through some motoring magazines today so there's probably going to be a fair few more vehicles added here over the weekend. Unfortunately my parts collection is mostly unusual parts left over or light bley so they'll mostly be renders, but I'm parting out old sets too so I may be able to throw something togethter. Keep an eye out for more to come.

These are brilliant little cars. I struggle with variety myself in 4 wides so they all turn out like generic sedans or hatchbacks all based off the same base car but I will take some inspiration from these. Good effort on them.

Thanks CrazyDalton777, it's good to have a generic base model to speed up the process though. I think that most sedans these days look fairly similar so it comes down to the front grille or rear fender to distinguish each model. The .LXF for the XR8 is up on my brickshelf page for those who want it, if you have the blue car from the Auto Transporter set it's only a quick mod too.

Thanks LEGO Train 12 Volts, the Sprinter van still needs a fair bit of work on the inside to hold the bonnet in place properly. It's one of the models I'm trying to improve while I have access to my brick collection.

Thanks Gabor, that windscreen is the only solution I know for 5 wide so it'll be getting used a lot more for my larger vehicles. I still have to find a way to connect the bonnet so it doesn't pop off at the slightest bump, which I meant to do this weekend, but I had a few other projects on my plate.
