ImperialJohn Posted March 12, 2005 Posted March 12, 2005 Here on the LEGO homepage they show of Starwars creations made by the employees :oD Quote
ApophisV Posted March 12, 2005 Posted March 12, 2005 I'd already seen this yesterday, so impressive! I especially like that movable 1:1 Battle Droid... *wub* It's interesting that those designers ARE able to create more accurate versions than those "more play value less accuracy" things they create as sets... MattZitron Posted March 12, 2005 Posted March 12, 2005 What I like, is some of the creations were obviously made before they got the license. Quote
jonfett Posted March 12, 2005 Posted March 12, 2005 I hope that we will see some of these released. For example, the UCS AT-AT? or maybe the minifig scale Acklay? or maybe a Hoth set with the Rebel Cannon? Jon. Quote
xwingyoda Posted March 12, 2005 Posted March 12, 2005 Definitly a Hoth set with the ion canon, gun turret, and 10 minifigs (5 Hoth rebels, 5 Snowtroopers) ;) I really love the B-wing - but not with the blue pieces, what is this thing with TLC and blue pieces >:( !!!! It took me a long time to have the right pieces to get rid of all blues in my Ties and replacing them by light greys (regular ties, bomber, X1, Interceptor) Quote
jonfett Posted March 12, 2005 Posted March 12, 2005 I think the reasons Lego add bright colours into the sets (ie. red or blue) are to: 1) Brighten the sets up, can you imagine a kid wanting to buy a black and grey tie interceptor? (no matter how cool we think it is, it is the kids who are the target market). 2) Make the building easier, again as kids are who the sets target it needs to be easy for them to build a mostly grey ship.. therefore there needs to be some brighter parts to stand out. The Middleman Posted March 13, 2005 Posted March 13, 2005 Interesting things there. I saw it on FBTB first, but with their stringent admittance policy - I use Gmail :| - I wasn't able to say anything. ;) I think a Hoth Battle set would sell well. Think about it: give us a Rebel Snowspeeder (with flesh toned figs), a little rebel turret, a few more figures, and a couple redesigned AT-STs. Don't see it happening, though. Quote

There's one on Brickshelf which i'd LOVE to see made. Quote
snefroe Posted March 13, 2005 Posted March 13, 2005 i thought that tlc is against guns/violence? so why are they showing a model of a modern weapon? some models are interesting, however, i'm not really happy with the b-wing and hope it will never be released. tlc has so much more parts these days to make a b-wing model that is a lot better than anything they could have made in the past with the parts they've used in this models. The Middleman Posted March 13, 2005 Posted March 13, 2005 Of course - that B-Wing was made before the license, or before the B-Wing numero uno, at least. We'd get a much better redesign nowadays. ;) Quote
languages Posted March 13, 2005 Posted March 13, 2005 The pictures wont work for me.... *wacko* Quote
Assassin Posted March 14, 2005 Posted March 14, 2005 Worked fine for me, it opens another window containing the pictures. It must be some setting on your browser that is stopping it. Quote
chewie Posted March 26, 2005 Posted March 26, 2005 you can also try right clicking where the picture would show up and click reload picture or somthing like that Quote
