Lazarus Posted May 16, 2014 Posted May 16, 2014 Hello All. Started work on my TMNT lair, this goal is to try and duplicate the 3Gen lair to match up with all the Lego set we have out. Bit thats done at present This is the subway line at the back of there living room, I wanted to put my Shellrazor there. I will keep adding onto this as I get time to design. Quote
CustomJoe_MD Posted May 16, 2014 Posted May 16, 2014 Those columns, and detail on arches and stairs is worthy of a design prize, beautifully done Lazarus. Quote
Lazarus Posted May 16, 2014 Author Posted May 16, 2014 The big arch was something that really stood out in the lair so I wanted to keep true to it. And I am happy it looks good after the amount of time I spent trying to make it work. Thanks for all the nice comments :-) Quote
kevkipo Posted May 16, 2014 Posted May 16, 2014 Awesome creation, that arch is beautiful. What program do you use may i ask? Quote
Cult_Of_Skaro Posted May 16, 2014 Posted May 16, 2014 Awesome creation, that arch is beautiful. What program do you use may i ask? It's LDD, with outlines turned on. Quote
emilstorm Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 You are definedly keeping up the standard Those turnstiles are awesome! Quote
Lazarus Posted May 21, 2014 Author Posted May 21, 2014 turnstiles where very simple to do, I just wish I could put a curve on the ends of them. But lego dont do a 1x1 curve shape. Quote
Lazarus Posted May 25, 2014 Author Posted May 25, 2014 Another update, getting there almost finished there living room area. Image I am going off. Quote
emilstorm Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 Still looking great! The wall structure over the turnstiles is super, fits very well with the rest. I like the inverted slopes under the arch pieces, the suit the curve pretty well. Quote
Gooker1 Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 Loving it!! Is this something you plan on building after you finish w/ the LDD version? Quote
Lazarus Posted May 27, 2014 Author Posted May 27, 2014 Yes I will build this once I have the design complete, for the parts I will need to wait for my next years Lug order to get the qwanty of parts I need. I used this years order on my train set, 90% of my funds go into my trains and TMNT is my side project when I have nothing to do with my trains. Quote
Lazarus Posted June 19, 2014 Author Posted June 19, 2014 Been a little side tracked by my main project, but have done some more work that I will put some pics up as soon as I can. At a point now what I am have to think where i am going to put the bed rooms and the lab and splinters traning room. I still want it to be all visable from the front, the lounge is now complete almost so now the hard part starts. Quote
