Stauder Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 This may be old news but I think its not. A frend of my was browsing Lego.com not too long a go and randomly came upon some pics, Including pics of the Eiffel tower, (He doesnt know bout yodas one) When I asked him what it looked like he said blocky,no cuves and dark gray, Exactly as the tower yoda has, then he mentioed he also saw pics of a lego Big Ben and the plalacy thing in Inda... The Maha raga or somehtin like that. He says he will try to find the page again if lego hans removed the pics yet. I belive him as he isnt a good liar, but Im not that convinced that a EB member would miss that kind of thing. What do you guys think? S@55 Quote
Minifig Lecturer Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 Perhaps if the ET sells well LEGO will start to make things like Big Ben and the Taj Mahal. Quote
Stauder Posted May 24, 2007 Author Posted May 24, 2007 Yes but he Claims to have seen it in january. Ive tried looking for the stuff to no avail. Ill ask him for futther details tomorow. Ps - hes not the kind of guy to joke or lie bout stuff like this... S@55 Quote
xwingyoda Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 Well, you know that wouldn't surprise me at all !! I mean that the ET was one of the most well guarded sets ever (go figure why) and those monuments (Big Ben and the Taj Mahal) are truly iconic. Now we have something of interest to investigate ;-) *yoda* Quote
Athos Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 We can hope. I'd love a world monuments line, though I did miss out on the Statue of Liberty (to my ever increasing dismay). Steve Quote
snefroe Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 it seems to me they're actually doing what we proposed a few years back: a 7 wonders of the world series in ucs, or more or less. i wouldn't be surprised to see a big ben, a taj mahal... it would be kinda strange for lego to just build 1 set, without being part of a series... all other sets are, after all, part of a series Quote
xwingyoda Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 We can hope. I'd love a world monuments line, though I did miss out on the Statue of Liberty (to my ever increasing dismay). I know what you feel...I missed on that beauty too and that makes me mad as well !! Oh well, if TLC ventures into fantastic monuments, they have to give us at least 1 US/NYC monument. I would be happy with either: * Empire State Building (with micro King Kong :-D ) * Chrysler Tower * RIP WTC (for a great hommage) US model On !! *yoda* Quote
sam89 Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 If he saw it in January I seriously doubt that they were new sets. The were most likely LEGO Factory creations. I remembers a Big Ben being made once. Quote
Stauder Posted May 24, 2007 Author Posted May 24, 2007 He says they where LARGE and said they must have been previews. Ill tell him bout yodas (the lucky devil) Tower and let him compare it to wat he saw. *Imagines the Lego Wonders of Legoland series* Quote
Holodoc Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 ... I mean that the ET was one of the most well guarded sets ever ... ET? Wait! - err... - ...now I Quote
Athos Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 ET? Extra Terrestrial... Lego is part of the conspiracy... The truth is out there... Steve Quote
