xwingyoda Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 OK my space fans, I took a little time of my precious Eiffel Tower (damn you :-D :-P !!) to review this little and neat set !! I really think TLC did a lot of progress with those smaller sets, well played !! Its yet another must have (I will buy at least a second one to have a small fleet hehe). Like always, here are pics of the instructions and puny DSS (DSS on such a small set really aggravates me Quote
sam89 Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 Cool little set, *yoda*. I probably won't get this one, since there's so many other sets to get, like that Recon Dropship! Quote
mutex Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 Nice little set, 2 or 3 like that is just perfect for patrolling with the dropship. I think that for 5 Quote
Brainbox Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 Are they extracting the essence of these.... Nah.... 8-| Probably... Nice set. If it's a decent enough price (which it probably will be), I may get a few. And I love the trns orange piece. *y* Quote
xwingyoda Posted May 24, 2007 Author Posted May 24, 2007 Question : do the wings can fold the other way ? like that it would be perfect for a kind of "aircraft carrier storage method" Unfortunatly not due to the use of those wedges. However its not that important due to the price ;-) Hmm.... I Quote
xenologer Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 Thanks ...Stickers, even for critical details like the Engine nozzles??? I mean as decorative markings, sure, but Engines??? I feel like its not really worth the 5$ Compare to the Aquaraider's 5$ set, now that was good... This one, well you get those white wing plates and a odd windshield. If they'd made more of an attempt to make the pilot more covered I'd be happier... Just imagine this piece around his feet instead of that angled plate. It'd increase the good-parts value, and make the nose look at least sorta enclosed, so he's not about to fall out. Quote
iamded Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 Nice little set review *yoda* , thanks. This is a nice little set, if I was gonna get any of the MM sets, it'd probably be this one, as it's just a 'sample', has a human ship, and a Jelly. But I'm gettin the Castle sets, so MM sets I will have to pass by. Hmm.... I Quote
Asuka Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 Hmm.. I dunno, maybe, power? Energy? They do use it on their ships/guns etc. So I'm guessing it's powering their ships/guns. Yep. :-P But where Quote
Wout Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 Nice review, nice little set I think I will pick this set up, It 's nice enough Quote
Mofo Jones Posted June 10, 2007 Posted June 10, 2007 I just picked one of these up today. Fast assembly, nice design. $6 (TRU price) well spent! :) Quote
doug7172 Posted October 11, 2007 Posted October 11, 2007 My sig fig has been a aquaraider, Astronaught and a soccer and I do not know what else. I must famus, hmmm damn I should beef up security on my sig figs house Quote
Corvus Posted October 11, 2007 Posted October 11, 2007 My sig fig has been a aquaraider, Astronaught and a soccer and I do not know what else. I must famus, hmmm damn I should beef up security on my sig figs house Hmm? I'm afraid that this doesn't make a lot of sense. Are you refering to using the Astro fighter as security? *wacko* Also, this thread is a bit old. Some get a bit annoyed about revival. :-) Quote
Siegfried Posted October 12, 2007 Posted October 12, 2007 Hmm? I'm afraid that this doesn't make a lot of sense. I didn't get it either.... 8-| I tried reading it backward too, but it didn't help. Quote
Hinckley Posted October 12, 2007 Posted October 12, 2007 (edited) I didn't get it either.... 8-| I tried reading it backward too, but it didn't help. Well, I think he's saying he must be famous and that someone keeps kidnapping his sig-fig, thus his frequent replacement thereof. Why he's telling us in this thread is anyone's guess... *wacko* Another great review, *yoda* ! Thanks for sharing. That is a neat little design. It's nice to see LEGO make something cool at a lower price point. Of course, I wish the cockpit was enclosed |-/ but it is still cool! Thanks again! *sweet* Edited October 12, 2007 by Hinckley Quote
DJ Force Posted October 12, 2007 Posted October 12, 2007 His sigfig is sharing the same head, and he has spotted this head in several themes now. Thank god he Quote

doug7172 Posted October 13, 2007 Posted October 13, 2007 :-D :-D :-D ah yes, of course. And now his sig fig is the pilot of the MX-11, the topic of this thread. So he meant his sig fig is so famous, he's in a lot of sets and therefore must have tighter security on his house before LEGO puts him in more sets... Mystery solved. Nice work everybody... You ppl that is what i was saying! My signature figure has been in multiple lego themes and he needs to beef up security for his house so nerds dont break in (damn with m sig fig have so many positions he should be able to afourd something than this crappy thing) Any way :-| I love this set because of the peices, Im planing to get this soon. I don't think the security needs to be too beefy to protect him from nerds...But they should be smart. Nerds are crafty 8-| Quote

Axle Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 This is a little off topic but, I got this set today(First MM set for me, A small step for me, one giant leap towards being bankrupt :-P) but why the hell are they called Jelly Aliens here on EB, but they are plastic, like the bricks? Excuse the terrible language. Quote
Asuka Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 but why the hell are they called Jelly Aliens here on EB, but they are plastic, like the bricks? Because they look like jelly babies.... ... from outer space. *skull* Quote
Axle Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 Good call.lol.Thanks for the reference. This set has a ot of good parts! I wish the cockpit was more comfy. He can't see where he' sgoing, Quote
Derek Posted October 25, 2007 Posted October 25, 2007 The fact that this set has the same head as the Aquaraiders $5 set kinda bothers me. (Im dorky like that :D) I mean if you are a little kid and can only get small sets you arent going to want two of the (Kinda) same guy. Rant On! DP8 Quote
