BrickBuilder3213 Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 Using Lego's Customer Service, you can actually buy more specific bricks than you can with the regular Pick A Brick service. As long as you're 18 or over, the service is available to anybody. Has anyone ever bought a whole minifig using the service? Quote
Robianco Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 I enquired many moons ago with regards to ordering several parts of a minifig that was specific to a set... actually a SW set. I was told that they couldn't supply those parts due to licensing agreements... or something similar. Quote
BrickBuilder3213 Posted May 12, 2014 Author Posted May 12, 2014 You can't buy any minifigs that are licensed, sadly. Quote
TheLazyChicken Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 I bought the Barracuda Warrior from the Atlantis line since I lost my first one. I used the bricks and pieces section for this. Quote
TheLegoDr Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 (edited) Definitely no go on exclusive licensed pieces. They specifically say that about Star Wars in particular, but I'm sure it is spread across all licenses. Sometimes they don't have all of the parts in stock. I've noticed a lot of heads have been out of stock with no in-stock date, which was odd. For me, it has been hit/miss about minifigures. There are certain pieces I'd want, but if they don't have it in stock, then you might as well look in the aftermarket. (It doesn't help me much since most of the only themes I buy are Licensed) Edited May 12, 2014 by TheLegoDr Quote
Wodanis Posted May 13, 2014 Posted May 13, 2014 In answer to your question, yes I have, as I don't have a Lego shop near me I have been using BnP or PAB to make mini-figures. Made a riot squad with my Elite police and some more forest Fire Fighters. Bought a bunch of miners hat's as well. Keep in mind though the torso's aren't cheap. .84 cents CAD. Right now, I'm loving the fact that I can do this when I need to. Quote
BrickBuilder3213 Posted May 13, 2014 Author Posted May 13, 2014 I'm asking because there's a Ninjago figure that I really want... It was released just recently in the biggest 2014 set. ;) Quote
AmperZand Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 @BrickBuilder3213 Entirely possible that they'll have the Ninjago minifig you're after, but you may find it for less on BrickLink. Please let us know how it goes. For what it's worth, I ordered the dragon from Dragon Mountain from LEGO Customer Service. I didn't think they would sell it outside the set, but they did. Quote

It was released just recently in the biggest 2014 set. ;) I have found Ninjago characters on the site in the past. Check again after the set has been released on shop.lego.com to see if they have added the set and its minifigures. Quote
TheLegoDr Posted May 16, 2014 Posted May 16, 2014 They have a handful of pieces they will not sell, but will sell a lot of pieces on that site. Sometimes the prices are a lot higher than bricklink though because they take into account the production costs, not the aftermarket value. I know some pieces from Friends that don't have a lot of use in the AFOL community cost LEGO a lot to produce, but are relatively cheap on bricklink. I think it is the accessory packs for their hair. So keep that in mind when ordering. Plus, you do have to wait for them to update their inventory. And they don't always put everything in the online inventory to order. Quote
